We are Mike and Sherrie Buckridge, owners of SUN AUTOMOTIVE. Starting with a one-bay service station in 1977, we have grown to currently have three automotive repair shops serving both Eugene and Springfield, Oregon. All three facilities service and repair most makes and models, domestic, Asian, and German, including Honda, Toyota, Subaru We are Mike and Sherrie Buckridge, owners of SUN AUTOMOTIVE. Starting with a one-bay service station in 1977, we have grown to currently have three automotive repair shops serving both Eugene and Springfield, Oregon. All three facilities service and repair most makes and models, domestic, Asian, and German, including Honda, Toyota, Subaru and Volvo. Our Campus location specializes in Volvo repair.
Our shops have the newest technology, training and modern equipment to service today’s complex vehicles. We have a two year/24,000 mile, nation-wide “no hassle” warranty.
Honesty, integrity and professionalism are continually stressed to our team and have earned us a reputation for quality auto repair, value and professionalism. At Sun Automotive, we live our slogan of “Where Trust Is a Tradition” by earning that trust one customer at a time.
The responsibility for our success rests mainly on God’s blessing, hard work and putting the customer’s needs first.

Overcharged for incorrect diagnosis
My car wouldn't start so I had it towed to Sun. I told them my experience of getting the car started by jiggling some fuses and they got it started but then kept it for 4 days to make sure it started again because they never diagnosed the problem. When I picked it up I figured it would be minimum charges because they never did anything to the car but start it. Then I got a $340 bill, including $50 for parts that did not need replacing. I got a list of things that were wrong with the car. This car doesn't burn or use a drop of oil between oil changes and they told me that I have an oil leak and needed several other items fixed which ran into thousands of dollars. I'm 76 and know mechanics and they treated me like a woman who knows nothing about cars. I talked to some friends about my experience and they had the same experience. Also, I drove the car home and the car would not start. I called them and they wanted me to bring it back in and charge me for more of their crumby service. I went on Youtube, diagnosed the problem and fixed it for $50. I will never use them again and I suggest you don't either.
