One of the worse experiences I've had and it's not over
I had my vehicle towed to Stateline service center because my husband was admitted to the hospital, and I couldn't drive two vehicles. I called ahead to let them know that the vehicle would be arriving, and he was fine with that. The brakes were making noise and did not feel right and from sitting too long, the battery was dead. The whole time my vehicle was there, he never called me. I was the one who always called but never got any answers, including what the cost would be. When they finally finished, the total cost is $2536.98, if I use a credit card it will be $2615.13. I have to pay this by 11/20/24 or get charged $35.00 a day storage fee. They still have my vehicle because I have to come up with the money. I have never been treated so poorly by anyone who provides a service. I finally received an invoice but never received anything prior to the completion of the work.

Shady Crook
Shady at best does illegal diesel EGR deletes which if the EPA finds out they will shut him down and all vehicles will be held. Sticks cash tickets in his pocket so there not on the books which the IRS would love to know about to.Runs tickets up on customers with out telling them.from what I've seen they could not diagnose a rusted bicycle chain and get it right.

Extreme Rip Off
Dropped my van off on Sept. 1st for them to ONLY plug in the OBD reader to verify what Honda of Dalton had said which was the spark plugs need to be changed, I also asked if the driver's side sliding door could be looked at because the cable had broke, I explained to John and an elderly man in the office to ONLY do that and then call my warranty dept and then me too let me know BEFORE anything was actually done / repaired and I was told "Oh absolutely" well between Sept 1st and Sept 21st (3 weeks) I called the garage too find out a status, it was after 2 weeks before the van was even moved into the garage, at the end of EVERY SINGLE call I would tell them to call me BEFORE anything was done/replaced/repaired and John, Tony & a new guy who started the day before, would say "ooh of course", well on Sept 21st, I got a call from John telling me that they done a compression test ($224.10) for no reason nor approved by me first, and he said it passed with flying colors, so they replaced the spark plugs which I was charged
$307.86 for the plugs + $188.72 labor, the plugs cost $167.94 from Advance (where they were delivered from) which means their mark up was $139.92 unheard of, at the end of the day it cost me $846.39, their mark up for the plugs $51.31 when they actually cost $27.99 minus their 10% ac

So I would highly recommend for everyone to stay the hell away from this place, there are some really great and honest garages around, but unfortunately State Line Auto is absolutely NOT one of them.

Spent 2k car didn't make it across road
Spent two thousand dollars the car didn't make it across the road...they charged me 2k to fix everything but the problem..once paid wasn't there problem the car didn't make across road .says it has warranty..not true...once they get your money there done with you...stateline if you think I'm done I'm not .....I'll be posting a negative review everywhere I can ...Y'all are THIEVES

Terrible experience at stateline Auto
On 02/23/2023 at 9:52 am. I took my van to stateline auto I stated I thought my starter was going out or the signal wire was loose. I was quoted $380 to have my starter replaced. After waiting with my 2 small boys I was told it was definitely the signal wire. When I asked John how much it would cost I was told it was "alot cheaper than the starter" I agreed. I sat for another 2 hours before finding John again for an update. I was told it wasn't the wire and they was already putting a new starter in without approval. After another 2 hours I once again asked for an update. I was told it was almost done and needed a new oil pressure switch. I asked how much it would cost, and was told "don't worry about i have one laying around here." Finally around 2:00 I was given a bill for $937.61 and told to take it to where I bought the car. Then I was given a bill for $694.69 to pay.
I stated to needed to run to the bank since it was alot more than I was quoted. John insisted he rode with me and my 2 boys to the bank. While buckling in my kids he jumped in the driver seat and said he was driving. Once at the bank he took the keys out of the car and walked away while I was at the drive thru teller. Once we returned to the shop I paid the difference and asked for my keys. I drove the the dollar general on ringgold road and found myself stranded with my car doing what it was before. I called the shop and john came to look at it. He stated it was now a battery ground missing instead of the starter. He said he would fix it for $117 an hour. After declining he left and sent me an invoice stating I paid him $294.12

Above and Beyond Service
I cannot say enough good things about this place... since we started doing business with Stateline Car Care, they have consistently gone above and beyond in their service to us.
They always seem to recognize and take the needs of our business into consideration,(with each situation being unique and having a different level of urgency) and always perform the work in a timely manner, and for a fair price.
No other service provider has ever given us such a high level of care...

I would certainly recommend Stateline Car Care without hesitation.

They did everything to help me no matter the cost.
I have had them replace my breaks, tires on 2 cars, and they worked to put my mom back on rd no matter what. Great people....

Thieves
They stole my car. I dropped it off on July 13th to have the timing chain and both axles done. I supplied all the parts. All they had to do was put them on. Tracy said it would be done by the following Tuesday-wednesday. It is now going on 10 weeks! Tracy has been avoiding us for 6 weeks now, his mechanics refuse to do any work to my car. It is torn apart in the garage, just sitting there. I can't even tow it out, because there is no guarantee I will have all the parts. In the meantime, I am missing work, begging people for rides, even getting locked out of my house because they have my keys. I am not the only one they are doing this to. There are 2 other owners with cars there with the same issue I am having. I just want my car, running! Tracy is hiding from us and the mechanics refuse to do anything, even contact Tracy. THEY STILL HAVE MY CAR!!! I didn't want to give it a star but it made me click one.
