Lack of Follow Up and Inaccurate Information
Purchased a preowned vehicle from Spokane Hyundai on September 26, 2024. The purchase was okay. No one likes the pressured sales tactics performed by both the sales individual and the finance manager, and how after saying “no” to additional warranty/service items, the pressure and shaming continued until having to say, “how many times do I need to say NO until you understand?” I’ll leave it at that.

A few words of caution to all that look to purchase from Spokane Hyundai, the company follow through is terrible and not genuine. While purchasing the vehicle, I noticed a few rock chips in the windshield. I asked if they had been checked and filled and the sales individual could not validate it. They stated they would have it looked at first thing in the morning just before my picking up the vehicle. At the time of pick up, it had not been looked at. I was told that rock chip repairs and checks are done off site and I should receive a call back in about two weeks to schedule. After a month of not hearing anything, a call to the dealer on status, and the sales individual Mr. Witt state it would be put to the top of the “repair wheel.” On 11/22/24 called the dealer again on status. I asked to talk with the General Manager. The individual answering the call was very nice. I was put on hold while a call was made to the General Manager by the individual. When taken off hold, I was told that the General Manager would call me in the next few minutes. I did not receive a call back from the General Manager. On 11/25/24, I received a call back from the Service department at Spokane Hyundai, not the General Manager. The vehicle is finally schedule to review the existing rock chips that were visible at time of sale and could not be confirmed if they had been addressed prior to sale.

Additionally, check all paperwork that relates to mileage of the vehicle for sale. The vehicle was advertised for sale at 1,000 miles less than actual miles at the time of my test drive (the vehicle was just placed for sale so the mileage should not be that far off). The mileage on the title was even lower than the advertised mileage at 2,000 less than the actual. When the vehicle was picked up and the detail shop did the final cleaning, the paperwork indicated the vehicle miles at 4,000 miles lower than actual.

Service scheduling
Spokane Hyundai is simply a joke when it comes to scheduling any kind of service. I called to schedule an oil change and was told next available appointment would be in 28 days. This is the 3rd time this has happened. Time to use Midway Hyundai in Couer DAlene for all service needs.

Give a perfect score on there surveys or they feel out
My car was supposed to get an oil change and the gas cover fixed. I talked with two different people about the gas cover. They did the oil change but didn’t fit the gas cover. It was after we got there, that they told us they didn’t have the part. Yet, their parts department called me and said it was in.
Robert did the oil change but didn’t do a full inspection on my car during the oil change. We needed new tires but they didn’t say anything and left the tire section grayed out on the paperwork. Which is whatever but then Robert wanted a survey done and keep emailing me the survey so I was honest on the survey. My survey had nothing to do with his customer service. It had to do with the inspection not being completed and the issue with the gas cover. However Roberts customer got real nasty after I did one survey.
Robert didn’t like what I put on the survey so Robert yelled at me through text and was completely rude, told me to get service else where. The survey wasn’t even bad. So for Robert to come completely unhinged was inappropriate.
After I told him I was escalating the issue due to the way he was texting me. He then started to apologize saying sorry and how I needed to call him.

Need a car wash
Got great service, prompt & friendly. To really keep up with the Jones they need to have a car wash. At least wash it before it’s returned to you after the service.

I do not recommend going to this dealership to purchase a vehicle or for service for with some of the staff being very rude. But not all of them, just most of them.

Excellent care
We have never been disappointed when we have taken our Santa Fe in. We feel like family when we're there and that is as important to us as the good service on our car. Quick recall repair but...
The work was projected to take 4 hours (2 hours per recall). It only took 2 hours to complete the work. I had also asked to have a multipoint inspection done to check the health of my vehicle overall. When I picked up my car, the tires were under inflated with the warning light on. On top of that, a brake light was out and I only found out after getting home and my wife pointing that out.

No hassle shouldn’t mean no service
Went in on a Sunday so we understood they weren’t at full staff. Went on the site the night before to inquire about a vehicle and was contacted the morning of by the salesperson which was nice. Then was contacted again stating the vehicle was already scheduled for a test drive, no biggie. Get there and was greeted and told they were still out and when they come back if they don’t want it the we can test it, which was fine. Was told to wait in waiting area and was not talked to or asked for credit checks or insurance or anything for over half an hour. Then told only that other customer was still driving it. Another 20 minutes and they come back asking for insurance and the keys to our potential trade in. Nothing about checking credit or anything else. Was asked if I had looked at site for other cars and I said yes but nothing else looked as good as this one. Another 30 to 40 minutes later we are told they are buying the car which is fine we understood but said they had no idea if they could afford it so to go to lunch and see if deal falls thru. They also stated that our cars appraisal without even looking at mileage even was 2k under what we owed( it was a 2 yr old car with 8900 miles and the new version of it couldn’t even been bought in the area and another affiliate of theirs had the same model and features with 10k more miles for over 9k what they offered me. I was then told they’re gimmick if we are a 1 price dealer and to go down the road because car max is paying and I quote “stupid high prices”on used cars. At that point we left and dealer said they would let us know if the other deal falls through. Went home and got the text it was sold and that’s okay. But without even being told they have new inventory not on the site yet and other similar vehicle on site with coming soon I was given no other option. I guess I should feel lucky to not get the high pressure sales pitch but to not at least attempt to help my get into something I’ve wanted forever they dismissed us. Was on Facebook and Wendle popped up and had a truck that was 8k more than the one I was looking at at Spokane Hyundai but they actually showed realistic financing and payment. My wife said let’s take a chance and guess what. Have a new truck!!.FYI Wendle paid 4 k more on the trade in and will still be able to make money on the resale

Overall good experience, good service
Just a little unhappy that the repair took so long, i guess considering the time of year, and the way the country is, it wasn't Hyundai's fault just circumstances which couldn't be helped.
