Technical service vs Customer service
Hello: I was happy to find a shop to service my son's car. They made the scheduling and drop-off easy and the service was performed quickly. A few months go by and the thermostat that they replaced failed. I contacted them to discuss this issue, but the car was now in the metro Denver area and not near Grand Junction. I had no choice, but to take to car to a local shop (1 .6 miles from my house) as the vehicle was leaking antifreeze profusely and overheating; There was no way for the car to make the 4 hour trip to Grand Junction. I discussed this with Scott's when this occurred initially and the Service Consultant was unaware of any process to follow for warranty other than to bring the vehicle back to their shop. After getting the thermostat replaced by the local shop I followed up with Scott's and after multiple emails and phone calls to discuss their warranty, I was now informed of their process. With this new story, there was no way to rewind what had already been repaired by the local shop. I submitted a copy of the invoice and asked for credit for the repair to be used at their shop in the future and was told that wasn't going to happen. I asked for a manager to call me to discuss this further and have yet to receive a call back after multiple calls and emails. Scott's: I understand that parts fail, but what I can't understand is how you let your customer service fail.
