Sorry to hear you did not have a positive experience at our shop. To answer you're question, we deal with a lot of different aftermarket supplies, this was not just a "radiator hose". If we could have gotten it done the same day we would have done so. It was not due to us picking it up, it was due to availability. This hose came with a plastic connector and we would recheck for leaks again after it was replaced, we did not remove it due to it being plastic and we did not want to make it worse or have it break on the way out, that would of make a bigger issue. We did quote you the amount to repair it properly but also advised you to go to the dealer due to it still being under the manufacturer warranty.
Why didnt this shop just get the hose from Napa Auto parts? They are just down the road and deliver? Sounds to me like they wanted to milk me, a new cow for them. I was not impressed by this auto mechanic shop.
They charged me $117 for a synthetic oil and filter change. Any 10 minute Oil change place will charge at least $20 less for that.
So, with oil change, tell them I have a coolant leak, do a coolant pressure test and remove my tires to inspect my brakes and rotors (That was requested by me and they were fine) ....total cost was around $230. They did fill up my coolant tank but I walked away from this shop with my coolant leak not repaired.
