Ron promised 4-5 months for the restoration project. Two years, 9 months and 13 days later, I had to have the Johnston PD retrieve my property. He lies straight to your face and then when he’s out of BS to feed you, he sends in his wife to feed you more BS and then proceed to tell you how your project will proceed. —- Ron’s clueless on how to restore a vehicle. He sent it to be soda blasted with the dash and interior in it! — He may be qualified to change you oil, but I’d double check all of his work. His body and mechanical skills are very limited. The work he did preform over the almost three years is of third grade quality. In interviewing different shops to finish it, not one looked at it and didn’t laugh at the below subpar work. Both body work and mechanical. I’m embarrassed I took my truck to this con-man. I am sorry I didn’t write this review sooner and stop others agony in dealing with them. It was a lousy experience all around.

He Lies and lies lies
Ron had my 68 Camaro for over a year, not only did he not do the work promised as he said, he constantly lied about work he never even did. He sent me pictures of a engine that he said was mine, it wasn’t. This guy will look you in the eye and shake your hand and lie right to your face. He has no integrity or honor. I cannot believe he will continue to lie about work and it’s so obvious he’s lying about it when I’m looking at the proof. Beware !

Lied to your face taking you as a fool.
Do not trust Ron. He took my 65 Mustang and $3,000 in November of 2018 for a Resto that he said would be complete in May 2019. Come May, he had very little work complete. For 5 months after that, every two weeks he looked at me eye to eye and lied about a new time line. Finally on 10/1/19 I removed the car from his shop. He said that day that he would refund my money. As of Monday 10/28 he had not done so and again looked me in the eye and said he would bring it to me on Tuesday. He lied again.... multiple other body shops have looked at the car and said that some of his work was done incorrectly or poorly and that they would need to redo the work. I am now taking him to court.

Run and Never Look Back
On May 28th, 2019, I dropped off my car to Ron’s Restoration in Johnstown, Ohio. I had gone there in early May and Ron looked at my car and gave me an estimate to repair a rust spot on my rightside bottom rocker panel. I had to wait to get into his shop on May 28th. Ron had my car until August 7th, 2019. After numerous phone calls and visits regarding the status of the vehicle and the status on the repair we just took it back from him on August 7th. During some of my site visits I found the car to be out back, very dirty, unlocked, and with two front flat tires. After being there for 2 months the car no longer turned over to drive it back home. Not only did we hear many reasons why it was not done, on a weekly basis, upon getting my car back it was not only not repaired but it had additional damage to the front bottom spoiler and left side door. It was covered in spots of sticky adhesive. I can not tell you how utterly disappointed I am of the unprofessional and unethical actions of the owner, Ron Woods. He has excuses that just roll off his tongue. He should not be in business and I would not recommend you put your trust or vehicle in his hands.
