Owner is a liar and sold me a junk car not worth half of what I paid for it.
This will be my last review on this place. The owner Lou is a liar at this point.

Filed complaints against his business through the state and DMV. Just got the state review back with the business response. He stated I texted him about my brakes going out but that was a LIE. I never told him about the brakes and he never scheduled me to come look at them. He only found out about the brakes because of the reviews I’ve posted. I will be posting our last few text messages as proof. He’s lucky he threw that “As-Is” label on the car. Other wise I would have went to small claims court. I’m just going to fix the brake issue and resell the car to try and recoup the loss. LESSON LEARNED. When buying a used car make sure to bring a mechanic with you! Don’t be stupid like me and trust these salesman and owners to sell you a good car- they are only in it for the money!

Old review: Sold me a car that broke down only minutes after purchase. Refused to give me my money back and now I’m stuck with the car. It has a lot of issues that weren’t disclosed at purchase. Car hasn’t been driven since purchase. 2/20/25

awesome people, fantastic service. These are people you can TRUST with your car.
Our son recommended River Town. They had helped him when he was in a hurry to get to a NC job interview. They treated him so well and hurried to get his car ready for the trip. We went there to have part of our car checked out. The lady at the front desk was wonderful and so personable. We waited while they checked out our car, drove it and tested it thoroughly. He came out and said said all was good, just a loose cable. We will most definitely go back when we need something done on our car. They are so fantastic and treated us like family! Cannot miss with these people!!!!!

Guys are good and I trust them!
It is nice to have a place that I can send customers of my business to as well as my employees. I trust these guys, especially Louis and Joe! Trust is important. One of my employees had their brakes checked at another repair shop and was told she needed $600 worth of brakes. Rivertown checked out the car and it turns out she still has over 1/2 of the brake life remaining!
