This shop is really good. Both Frank and Chris were extremely helpful over the phone. The explained everything about the CVT transmission on the car I had just bought. I called to get a quote on a maintenance service and everything went as good as you could expect. Im making these guys my shop from now on.

Better Than New
Cadillac dealership wants $3,608.95 to replace my torque converter back to base factory standards; plus tax, with no updates to prevent reoccurrence. Now $1,200 cheaper, with “beefy” upgrades, new converter, oil change and front and rear differential fluid drain and refill. When Frank said it needed to be back after 500 miles for them check, I mentioned needing to drive to NC, so it would be closer to 1,500 miles; he didn’t bat an eyelash. Simply said, bring it in when you get back. That’s confidence in your work. And that’s what I did. Oh, I live 60 miles away from his shop, but I’d push my car there before I’d stop at any other shop along the way!

My new mechanic
Richmond is my new mechanic. They did work honest and awesome work. I don’t need to look for a mechanic ever again they can and will do everything with expertise anybody ever need a Mechanic that asked me I will tell them Richmond is mine and you’ll be happy with them too.

Very unprofessional. Owner lacks ability to communicate with customers and the ability to correctly repair vehicles. My experience is very consistent with many reviews and complaints
The owner of this business has a very rude and disrespectful attitude towards customers. He has no idea of how to communicate and he has no ability to correctly repair vehicles. F Rated by BBB
The reviews and complaints online are 100% correct. Owner and Wife could not have been more rude and do not care about customers. Frank claims to have been in business for 40 years “ his statement about knowledge” Well he has zero knowledge of how to correctly repair vehicles. He literally has been guessing about parts to replace. Over a month of trying to repair my problem and over $1,400 later the vehicle is still broken.
DO NOT TAKE A VEHICLE HERE. READ THE REVIEWS ONLINE I WISH I HAD!

Honesty and excellent work.
Richmond Transmission does excellent work for a fair price and they don't try to sell you things that you don't need. The owner Frank is proud of the work they do and it shows by the quality of the work they do.
