Mini van would not crank.
Called Richie’s because van was dead, would not crank. They were at my house when they said they would be. Assessed the problem and fixed on the spot. Mechanic was professional and knowledgeable. Would call them again if necessary.

Communication Severely Lacking
To start, their towing company refused to pick us up unless we called their company office and asked if they could take us. When we arrived, we were given a 2 day estimate. It took aver 2 weeks. We were stranded 3 hours from home, so communication was through the phone, but it was lacking. They only called us once to update, and could not give us details when we called them.

Amazing
My husband’s car stoped driving late evening few days ago. Richie's Automotive tow truck came to pick the car up in 30 minutes after we contacted AAA, and took it to the service. Driver was professional, and very polite.
The next morning I called to ask when they can look at the car. The office manager called me back in few hours, informing me that the car is fixed and ready to go home. Everyone at the office was very nice, and price for the repair work was fair. Positive experience and easy to work with!

4:30am Breakdown on I-95
On my way down to Florida from New York we broke down at 4:30AM in North Carolina, north of Kenly, mile marker 109.5. We immediately called AAA. We liked the automated feature, where a text is sent to you and you submit your request, but being stranded during the week at 4:30AM this feature was not useful. We were scared, stranded on I-95 where vehicles were going over 70 MPH, so we called a second time and opted to speak to a live person. The AAA rep was helpful and quickly submitted the call. Once the call was in I was able to track the Tow Truck using AAAs website. At the same time we called an Uber to get my family since not everyone could fit in the Tow truck.

The Tow Truck was a Richie’s owned truck, and when it arrived the driver first asked if we were safe, and we were. After I explained what went wrong he hooked up the battery to help begin diagnosing the issue. The battery helped start the vehicle but it quickly turned off again, so a tow was necessary. The Uber left with my family and I left with the Tow Truck.

Richie’s Auto shop opens at 8AM and we arrived at the shop around 6:50AM. The Tow Truck demounted my vehicle across the street and asked me to wait until the shop opened. He assured me that the area was very safe and I didn’t have to worry. I stayed near the vehicle until 8AM. The shop opened at 7:50AM, and most employees were at the shop at or before 8AM. It went from a quiet place to a buzz in minutes. The Manager Shawn greeted me right away and asked how can she help. I explained the issue and she assured me they’ll quickly check the car and help me out. The mechanic quickly checked with their computers and the culprit was possibly the alternator. From the time they took my car key to the time it was diagnosed I would say it took 30 minutes. I agreed to the price to fix it which I felt was reasonable. After the repair work started it took about 2.5 hours, which in my opinion pretty fast. Changing an alternator is not super complicated but tricky and takes time and delicateness. The job was completed by 11AM and I was out of there before noon!

While I waited I noticed that the employees were happy, very respectful to each other and the customers, everyone acknowledge everyone else and said good morning too. The location had air conditioning comfortable seats, and a coffee maker. I felt comfortable, well taken cared of, and safe.

Antonio was the dispatched driver and was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He explained to me what he was going to check before making a decision to have it towed. He found the problem with his diagnostics machine and fixed the problem.

Richie’s not a good place for business
They over charge you for they work an charge fees for them to work on your car not good a place to deal with they all about scamming people of there money nasty attitudes they should be closed down an ran bye new management that knows about car an knows how to treat people so I want would never send anyone there cause they care nothing about you or your family they just want your money an tell you lies

I was a repeat customer.....never again.
I started to go in 2023, everything was fine until 2/7/23. I went for a oil change, I figured it was time. When I told the owner told me, it's been almost a year. I thought that was odd. The oil change came up to almost $100! I ask, why the other Mrs. Richardison, why it high. She broke it down I said ok.. Later the owner called me ask did I have a complaint about oil change. She told me told me it was the same price last year. I looked at my records today. She lied to me. My last oil change was in December, when she did my brake pads. Also each time she did my oil change it went up about $11. I was also accompanied by my Caucasian fiancé. The whole time he felt unwanted and uncomfortable there. The final straw was purchasing a vehicle from them with oil change required light still on. Took it back they reset it. Went home then a Hi temp, low oil pressure came on. Took it back, the so called degenerate sales man. Had the nerve to get in my face and smirk and tell me the lights of a car suppose to turn on like that. Highly disrespectful. I don't know who they are used to dealing with, however I have enough sense to. NEVER DO BUSINESS THERE AGAIN.
