Poor Service, Untrained Technicians, and Repeated Oversights – Avoid Kansas City Hyundai
I’ve given Kansas City Hyundai multiple chances, but their service department continues to disappoint. Most recently, I brought my car in for routine maintenance. Instead of properly resetting the service alert, the technician accidentally reset my lifetime trip information, erasing years of carefully tracked MPG and mileage data I used to compare performance and share on social media. Their only response?

“All we can do is apologize.”



This isn’t an isolated issue:

One time, they forgot to reset the maintenance alert entirely after servicing.

Another time, they left their OBD scanner plugged into my car. I drove off, noticed it miles later, and had to return and remove it myself.

Their service advisors can’t clearly explain how many complimentary services I’m eligible for — I’ve received conflicting answers every time.


If you value competent service and a knowledgeable team, I recommend you avoid Kansas City Hyundai and find a dealership that actually respects your time and your vehicle.
