TRANSMISSION. 58,000 miles and the tranny died. $4800 later, I drove outta there and got back to work. Two weeks later the tranny failed. It was the trans cooler I was told. $950. Should that've been checked on my initial visit? I don’t know! THEN!!! the engine light came on and like most Americans, I ignored it until smog time. The smog guy plugged in his little reader, AND BAM!!!
Transmission cooler was bad again!! BUT!!
It was JUST past the warranty because the dash said CHECK ENGINE and not CHECK TRANSMISSION!
I brought it back in, feared the worst and I got the golden glove treatment.
I don’t know what they found and I don’t know what they fixed, but I picked it up with no extra money outta pocket.
I Blame Chevy for this weak transmission that failed at 58,000 miles while NEVER pulling a trailer! and I’ll give POWAY TRANSMISSION two thumbs up! My initial investment, though painful, was money well spent.
