I'm always very satisfied with the service I receive at PC auto. But I have to be honest, I was a bit disappointed with something I was told by the staff after the oil change on my wife's car that day.
I was told by the next time the car is ready for the next oil change, the car would need front brakes AND rotors. I asked if they can change only the pads and was told "we don't do that here". Honestly, I have never heard of that. Usually if the rotors are still good, they can be resurfaced. Doubting myself, I called the parts department of Hyundai (since its's not an American car), and asked if you can change just the front pads and not the rotors. I was told "yes. you can. Just make sure the rotors are rotated to the smooth area that is on them". Being senior citizens on a fixed income, pads and new rotors is an expensive job. So my question is: Is the reason PC auto doesn't change just the pads because you don't have the equipment or capability to resurface/rotate the rotors, or, you just choose to not do that?
