Despite this, at approximately 1:44 PM while I was on the freeway to pick it up, I received a call saying that technicians had replaced my front left and right strut assemblies without my explicit consent. Also, if I had agreed to the services which I no longer wanted the services because of price, I had clearly requested Monroe, KYB, or Gabriel strut assemblies, but instead, Duralast parts were installed. A couple days later on January 31, 2025, I immediately noticed that the ride was still harsh and shaky—far from the smooth performance and quality guaranteed. They even dismissed my concerns over the brand and the expected 10-year warranty that was never confirmed.
To make matters worse, there was no proper written confirmation or project change request (PCR) for any of these unauthorized actions, despite multiple documented call records and timestamps. I ended up being charged $500 for a service I never fully approved because they never really gave me a choice if I were to deny the service they just did because I would have ended up having to pay to get my original parts installed back onto the vehicle. I strongly caution other customers to secure a clear, written agreement before leaving your vehicle for repair. This experience has left me feeling misled and frustrated by their deceptive practices.
