Don't recommend northstar ford
I don't recommend northstar ford I got a ford f150 I had it one day tha truck was not clean out and tha next day tha truck drive bad then had a appointment for a inspection and cleaning thay did not know anything about tha appointment bring it to get clean 2 times inspection appointment told to bring it in weeks later tha tuck broke down went to a macanic fix tha vale cover seals spark plugs differential autanator new battery oil change I spent a lot of money for tha truck over $22000 not to fix it and I got to pay tha bank money on tha truck I went to nothstar ford car dealerships because I did not want to get a truck from anyone so I don't have to fix anything tha same week now all tha work I did from my business is going on this truck bad customer service

Very kind!
We were on vacation and our dust cover came loose. We stopped into Quick Service at Northstar Ford and they were so nice. They got us right in and then refused to take any payment for reattaching the dust cover!! That type of friendly and generous service is rare but so appreciated. Thanks Northstar!!

Buyers Beware!!
Buyers beware!!! Cory the Sales Manager was really quick to promise he would make things right if the accident falsely reported on the equifax report when trading my vehicle. I spent over 4 hours of my time validating my concern, only to be told they sold the vehicle and could not do anything. I would not trust a word that Cory says... Durring the sales process Cory sells the great customer experience and service through Northland.
Post sale he is a unreasonable, and could care less as they have your money!!! Don't do it... Your have been warned!

Run from this dealership
I got my oranges at SuperOne and my lemon from Northstar Ford. Actually, there was nothing wrong with the car - a Ford Escape - it is the dealership that is toxic.
It began when we ordered the car - my wife had one essential feature: it had to have heated seats (this being Duluth). I said that I did not want a towing package - we have no boat, no trailer, no camper. No problem, the salesman said, we customize your order. When the car was delivered, it had an expensive towing package and no heated seats. The salesman said that we must have 'forgotten' to mention the features we wanted. The dealership offered to install after market heaters at an exorbitant cost. We decided to keep the car (we didn't have any other options) but this experience told us a lot about the dealership.
We kept the Escape for years and it performed very well - no issues with the Ford product. This spring, the car had 97,000 miles on it, and, as we were planning a long road trip, I decided to bring it in for Ford's recommended 100,000-mile checkup. It's a comprehensive service workup - replacing spark plugs, draining the coolant, flushing the transmission, etc. Expensive, at $740, but worth it to have the assurance that the car wouldn't have any preventable problems on the road, although there had not been any issues prior to the service. After the service department finished the workup, on the way home, we noticed a shudder when the car shifted. It happened the next day as well, so we brought it back to Northstar. After a full diagnostic, they said that the torque converter was toast and that the transmission was shot. I asked how this could happen, since the car ran perfectly before it was brought in for service. They said that sometimes during the flushing of the transmission some sediment can be stirred up, and this probably caused the damage.
So bringing the car in for Ford's recommended maintenance created the problem - how was Northstar going to fix it. The dealership took no responsibility for causing the problem but said it would fix it for $7,000. Discussions with service and management staff were fruitless - the dealership refused to take any responsibility and we were left with an undriveable vehicle.
As I've told people about this experience, many have responded with their own negative experiences with this dealership. There is nothing wrong with the Ford product, but if you're looking for one, shop somewhere else. Run, do not walk away from Northstar Ford.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE
I went to Northstar FORD to "just look" at the inventory. I talked to Dave Rutherford in Sales & Keven in Finance Dept. Long story short -to my surprise- I ended up purchasing a car the same day! I was extremely happy with the service, kindness & the commuications that were taken into considerations to "fit my needs." I will recommend this dealership & these kind & wonderful people that even helped me to "get to know the car." I have visited numerous dealerships in the area & this one was the most outstanding one I have visited. Thank you for the service I received from all of you! Poor Service
After bringing my car in for a recall on my breaks and airbags (not an issue). I had waited for 2 days before I had called to see if the car was done only to find out that the part failed and my tech was out on maternity leave (not an issue). The issue is that in order to be updated on anything I had to call and wait on hold. They have had my car for almost a week and a half and will not give me any lend me car, I have been without a car for this long because of them. TODAY IM TAKING IT TO BENNA FORD IN SUPERIOR.
