Brent, thank you for the largely positive feedback. We do want to clarify one important point: we are not timid about repairing vehicles—we are firm about safety.

During our inspection, we found frame corrosion severe enough that the truck could not be safely lifted on a hoist, along with broken suspension components and other conditions that made it unsafe to work around or under. Those same conditions raised serious concerns about the vehicle’s roadworthiness. Our responsibility is to protect our technicians, our customers, and the public.

Because the truck needed immediate brake attention, we made a limited repair to address that concern after explaining that it would not correct the more serious structural and safety issues present. We also advised that investing further in the vehicle, including the brake repair itself, was not what we believed to be the best use of your money given its overall condition.

We are always glad to help customers maintain safe, serviceable vehicles, and we take pride in treating their money with the same care we would our own. We also understand that sometimes the responsible recommendation is difficult news to receive.
