Loved my experience buying my Stinger at Nationwide 4 years ago, but their service department at Nationwide Nissan has become unbearable….
Extremely disappointed in the last 3 service appointments, but this one takes the cake! I came in for an oil change, 36k service and to inquire for the 3rd time about the status of replacing the paint cracked roof strips on my 4 year old Stinger. Had a 7 am appointment today and dropped the car off the night before, checking my car in with Heather. It is a solid 30 minute drive to Nationwide, but I continue to make the drive as a Nationwide customer for life. Heather called us at at 11:10 morning to tell us our car was done and to our surprise they also had the roof strip replacements available and installed them under warranty. We made the 30 minute drive to Nationwide immediately, but the cashier did not have our paperwork. She said she would have to speak with Heather. The cashier returns to say, “something happened” giggled, smiled and walked back to her seat. Wasn’t cute or funny, but we waited with no idea of what happened.
Heather shows up 10 minutes later beating around the bush to tell us they put the roof strips on the wrong Stinger. I said that was fine that I would make another appointment at a later date as my husband was in the middle of his work day and I didn’t want to hold him up. She said she would be right back with our car. We waited another 10 minutes and I decided to take a walk around the building to find my car. It was still being worked on in in the shop. I come back to my husband in the cashier/waiting area and Heather informed him that they had not done anything with my car, not even the oil change. They performed all my requested services on the wrong Stinger. She said she has two techs working on my car (oil change, 36k service AND replace the roof strips) and it will only be 30 minutes. This raised further concerns about the quality of service being performed on my car, 30 minutes to do all this? Really?? Did you tell the other Stinger owner you screwed up their service too? Did you pull the new roof strips off his car, put them on mine and put his old ones back?
We have already paid and we’re thrilled to find out they charge now charge a 3% service fee if you put the charge on a credit card. Kinda icing on the cake Nationwide. Being a Nationwide customer doesn’t give me free oil changes or discounts in service. I come because you warranty my engine for life if serviced here. I no longer trust your service department or Heather. I love my Stinger, but Nationwide has lost me for life, service and future purchases. I will go to another Kia service center, it’s a shorter drive and don’t think the service could get much worse. We are 2 hours in since receiving the call and still we are waiting with no Heather in site, neither cashier saying a word to us…WOW!
