My experience with My Mechanic Shop in Rohnert Park was beyond disappointing and frustrating. From start to finish, the level of incompetence and unprofessionalism was astounding.
I brought my Subaru in for repairs hoping for a straightforward process. However, I had to call them over five times just to get an estimate. Each time I called, instead of discussing my car, I was bombarded with complaints about their personal problems. It was as if my car was an inconvenience to their therapy session.
After five days of waiting, I finally received an estimate—verbally quoted at $4000. But when the written estimate arrived, it had somehow skyrocketed to $6500 without any explanation. When I dared to inquire about this massive increase, they became defensive and started ranting about their personal lives again, completely avoiding the issue.
The owner, or who I think was the owner named Steve, was downright rude when I asked for clarification. They abruptly told me to pick up my car and refused to continue the repairs, even resorting to swearing at me over the phone. I left feeling bewildered and decided to write a review of my experience.
When I went to collect my car, they had conveniently "lost" the estimate in their system. They then had the audacity to demand $189 for the trouble, which mysteriously dropped to $100 if I agreed to remove my review. I paid under duress for an estimate that had conveniently vanished.
To add insult to injury, my car remains unfixed, and I'm now on the hunt for a reliable mechanic. Avoid this place at all costs—their customer service is appalling. They blame their customers for their own personal problems, yell at you for asking legitimate questions, and even try to bribe you to erase negative feedback.
Furthermore, trying to reach the owner was like pulling teeth. I was given multiple names—Brian, Steve, Dave, Miller—by the unhelpful front desk staff, who harassed me with calls demanding I disclose the nature of my call. This level of unprofessionalism and deceit is simply unacceptable. Steer clear of this mechanic shop if you value your time, money, and sanity.

Not attentive, couldent locate issue, easily found elsewhere
Granted I drive an older car, any dimwit should have immediately found issue.
Save yourself, and owner is a rude arrogant know it all, more concerned with his image then his work. GOODLUCK CHUCK!

Days of time spent for 20 min work intervals always correcting an issue that was NEVER problem!
To some up, charged for multiple in necessary work, when I recently found out from a REAL QUALIFIED HONEST MECHANIC, that’s its front end ball joints.
An Obvious issue, THIS ENTIRE SHOP COULDN’T DIAGNOSE. No I was ripped off, time, money, and fixing of issues that need no fixing. I SHOULD REPORT THESE ASSHOLES, HAVE NO IDEA WHO WROTE GOOD REVIEWS HERE. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, KEEP DRIVING MANY OTHER QUALIFIED LOCAL SHOPS. SERIUOSLY!.

24 hours total of waiting, brought back numerous times, Never fixed squeaky front end.
No time frame ( 24-30 hours time wasted
Stayed it was one thing, it wasn’t
Failed to use grease where needed
Money, time and problem now way worse, it was better before I showed up.
I cannot say enough about the skill, the courtesy and the comfort My Mechanic offered me. Excellent work. Reasonable price. And very valuable sharing of knowledge.
The cost seemed high but again I am not sure if the average but thankfull all breaks were repalaced. Correspondence and tine to complete the work was good
This shop seems like they really know their stuff, but the owner and the person running the shop both told me I’d have a diagnosis by a certain time and that didn’t happen, more than once. They seem really busy which I think is a good sign but they should be more realistic about timing to customers.
Went in to have the breaks done, but other things were discovered and they spent the time to fix them. I now feel safer driving the car. Already recommended it to my UBER driver. Thanks, again!
I appreciated the folks at MyMechanic who helped me fix a problem on a road trip 2000 miles from home. I left a message after they were closed for the night and I received a call back a short time later. I was able to have some peace of mind that night knowing that they agreed to look at my car the next morning, and based on my description of the problem, most likely be able to complete the repairs that next day.
And they did just that-at a fair price. My gratitude to you for making a car repair far from home as least stressful as it could be!
My Mechanic has been my go to for several years now. The service is always friendly and they quality of work is top notch. They have been getting busier of late, and wait times are consequently longer, but not too bad.
I've been going to these people since they reopened they're doing an excellent job they got me in really quickly they got my job done right and I really appreciate them I feel lucky to know they're there
