Awful Hazelwood Experience 2021 Santa FE
This is a 2nd terrible review I have had to write. I a recall notice that there could be an issue with my back up camera on my 2021 Santa FE. The day after receiving this letter, my entire screen went black. I had no camera/sounds or lights. I made my appointment for this at the Hazelwood dealership, almost an hour drive.
They made me wait for 3 hours only to inform me the parts are VIN # specific and that they would need to order. How would they not know this in advance. I went in 3 days later when part arrived (2nd trip). It didn't take long and a service person came and stated they "were all done and everything is working properly again." When I start my car, the screen was still completely black, no sound and no back up camera. How can you try and send someone on their way stating the camera and everything is in working order when it clearly wasn't. The service tech was standing there and seemed confused by this. Stated they didn't know and that I would need to come back again for a diagnostic service. Now, trip #3 when I arrived for my appt and waited for some time, I was told that I need a whole new screen/monitor head etc. They would have to order and call me when it arrived. A few days later part arrives and I am making trip #4, to drop it off on a Friday and pick up on Monday. Now, when I dropped it off I asked if they would go ahead and do my oil change (warranty with them) while they had my vehicle and they absolutely agreed, no problem.

I picked my car up on a Monday after the service dept closed, but cashier was open until 8pm. When I received my paperwork, they did not perform the expected oil change, the dashboard where the monitor /screen are located was still popped out at the seams, the frame going up from dashboard (I can only assume for wiring purposes) towards the passenger door was popped out and my dash has little cracks.

This is an awful dealership that has No respect for you or your vehicle. Please find attached dealership that will at least treat you with respect and not just a transaction.

The only reason for the 1 star is for our sales associate. Once his part was completed and I went financing everything went downhill. First, Kyle was the financing gentlemen who helped (so called) me. He started by apologizing as he had just moved to Missouri and drove all night to make it to work. When explaining the warranty, he stated it was only going to $600 give or take a bit. The oil change warranty sounded great. It was explained I could o to any Hyundai dealership. My 1st oil change appt,found out this information was wrong. You have to go to the location you bought the vehicle. Once received all my paperwork, I was charge $2k for warranties from 3 different companies. There was slight front bumper damage that I mentioned to the financing manager, he stated they would not fix it but we agreed to a $200 credit for the minor repair, which I have not received. I have contacted the General Manager several times and he assured me he would get the warranty manager to call and discuss all this with me, which has never happened either. The experience or lack there of was terrible. I will NEVER go back to a Hyundai dealership and I will express all my concerns to anyone who wants to buy from one of these dealerships. Bait and switch with the warranties, professionalism could use work. Overall, an awful experience. Do not buy from them. For reference, this was the Hazelwood location. Buyers beware
