They prey on people who don’t know better
These guys use predatory sales. My fiancée’s daughter thought she needed someone to check her brake pads. It was a basic inquiry. The Subaru Impreza had ~50k miles. It’s not driven a lot. It sits a lot. But she thought going to a local place to check it out would be fine. I have been keeping track of it Using the dealer for important things. Anyway no issues with the rotor. No shimmy braking. So they told her that she needs new pads and rotors on her car. I wasn’t available to talk to her. But they pressured her to sign off on a $500 bill when it only needed pads. The rotors could have been turned and that’s it. The guy at the shop, who I talked to the next day said they won’t turn rotors. They only do pads with new rotors. So obviously it’s a forced high pressure sale. She signed off not knowing what was really needed because she trusted them. Never again. I asked him why he didn’t tell her she just needs rotors turned. He said he would tell her to go somewhere else. Lol. Yeah right. You are in the business of selling new rotors with brake pads. Its your gig. And even though we just needed the rotors turned and new pads, about $200, we got stuck with a $500 bill for new rotors we didn’t need. These guys are a sham and trick people who don’t know any better. Totally predatory tactics. The guy at the store said she called her mom and said it was ok. I’m like her mom is in a stressful OR job. Why would you recommend work that isn’t needed? Because you are a scammer. You all suck and I’ll make sure I tell everyone your horrible business practices.
