Incorrect diagnostic work
It was a $315 charge to basically do nothing. Your team put starter fluid in my intake while cranking the truck and it started again, but the analysis of the issue was all wrong. The truck continued to struggle with throttle and stalled out a day later after all the instructions your team provided were followed. Had to get another tow truck, but this time I took it to Trey's Diesel and Automotive in Temple. Yes, I paid an extra $150 to tow it 40 more miles to a mechanic that does proper diagnostic work and doesn't stop at the first thing.

Professional, knowledgeable, efficient, reasonable.

Disappointing Experience with Modern Diesel in Del Valle!
We are extremely dissatisfied with the service I received from Modern Diesel in Del Valle. My husband's diesel truck required repair due to a faulty DPF sensor indicating clogged filters.

For the Initial Repair Modern Diesel removed and cleaned the filters but failed to resolve the issue.

As a Second Attempt, Despite cleaning the sensor, the problem persisted. MD then confirms that they have no idea what was wrong with the truck. Turns out, the root cause is that Modern Diesel neglected to reset the programming.

Chance, the representative, promised to have the owner contact me but never followed through. The botched repairs cost me $3,000. My truck remains inoperable.

In summary, Modern Diesel's subpar service, lack of transparency and unfulfilled promises have led to a loss of trust. We will not return.

Absolutely wonderful experience!
Our Modern Diesel Mechanic was friendly, knowledgable, educational, to the point, and fast.
The “house call” was worth not having to hire a wrecker . The whole call to having it fixed was less than 24 hrs.
We definitely recommend this company!
