Our dream has always been to own and operate a mechanic shop here in Kirksville. Our owners, Michael Mathes, Mikel Meeker, and Virkita Thomas, went through various schools and mechanic jobs before opening Mikes’ Auto Service Center on April 10th, 2023. Over-the-top service from people who truly care
Service quality 5***** Speed of service 5***** Going far beyond expectations 5***** Communication 5***** Ease of working with customers 5***** They understood we needed to get in quickly and made room for us the day we called. Our other car went down same day and all local rentals were booked, so an employee let us use her personal truck! I'm quite sure that wasn't something they normally do, so don't expect that if you use them to service your vehicle. It was a huge deal for us tho, and worth mentioning to illustrate how much out of their way they went for us. They truly care about their customers. There was a minor snaffoo when the part got there and wasn't functioning, so they rearranged things again and got us in the day after #2 arrived. They finished earlier than expected. Now really, who does all that for a first time customer?! They earned our loyalty! I sat inside for a bit while they checked our car on a different matter a few weeks later, so got to hear what other customers there and on the phone were saying. All of those that came thru when I was there, seemed extremely grateful and happy with their experience as well. Not a single complaint. Another bonus is their location... across from police offices. Our car is a make and model that can catch attention, so having no security worries when leaving our vehicle was a really big plus. We highly recommend them on every level we thought might be important to someone looking to find a good mechanic they can count on. "Thank you" to everyone at Mike's. You cared and it was noticed and appreciated.
