Honest & Detailed
As a single woman, walking in for car service can be a questionable experience. Not At Midas in Middletown! I knew I needed a few updates when I went in for inspection. I came out spending less than I anticipated and with discounts applied. Caine was especially helpful during my visit and even offered Uber if I needed to get somewhere while the work was being performed. I highly recommend.

Vehicle leaking fluid; turns out the last mechanic(not from Midas) failed to secure the oil pan plug; dropped vehicle off at 8; when part came in I was home by 10;30

Excellent service provided on time.
The service did an excellent job of fixing our Subaru muffler in a timely fashion and when it was going to take longer to get the parts from Providence, they gave me a lift home so that I wouldn’t have to wait around the stooge three hours.

Quick and friendly inspection
I just registered my car in Rhode Island and needed to have it inspected with a certain time frame. Midas got me in quickly. Service was friendly and they performed the inspection quickly.

False advertising
Quoted me a preposterous amount of money ($2879.60), for an exhaust repair. They said my minivan looked to be great condition other than the exhaust problem. They said I should get it repaired A.S.A.P. because it was on the lift. I told them I needed to discuss it with my husband because that was a lot of money and that he was away on a business trip. The salesman was trying his very best to convince me to repair my vehicle with them. I stood my ground and said I couldn't. I could tell the man's frustration over the phone when he told me to go pick up my minivan. To my surprise he hands me over a bill and quoted me $29.99 plus tax. I asked for what and he said "for looking at your car." I told him I thought it was a free estimate. He told me only if you repair your car with us can we waive the fee. I told him that's false advertising. He told me "you say potatoe, I say potato, you say tomatoe , I say tomato."
I WILL NEVER TAKE MY VEHICLES TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT.
By the way My Son-In-Law, who is a mechanic himself and works for AAA, took my Minivan to Lou's Custom Exhaust in Westport, Massachusetts. They are professional, know their trade, have people skills and when they say "FREE QUOTES" they mean "FREE QUOTES."
I hope this review helps someone out there.

Scheduled appointments – no service provided.
I scheduled a vehicle inspection, took time out of my day and scheduled to get the vehicle to the shop on time. Waited one hour and no service the entire time. Normally a 15 to 20 minute process. They did not communicate that they could not do the work.
