I don't begrudge a dealership from trying to make money, but I do when they aren't honest about how they are doing it. Was told by an internet rep that Max Hyundai was only charging MSRP for the 2023 Hyundai Palisade. As I begin the process of moving forward, they then tell me that I am required to purchase the ProPack paint sealant and the Lo-jack security system. Also if I'm financing I have to use HMFC versus obtaining my own financing. I backed out right there. Many dealers are charging over MSRP for vehicles right now...I get that, but at least be honest about it and don't let me get into the nitty gritty and tell me after the fact I can't use my own financing and I am required to purchase accessories I don't want. Is this deal probably still better than elsewhere...yeah it probably is. But I prefer an honest approach versus an oh by the way approach. FYI, Noller Hyundai in Topeka is only charging MSRP and nothing else, they just haven't been able to get the same amount of inventory.
