Steven misdiagnosed my vehicle
I had my SUV towed to Matthew’s Hyundai on October 30th after another repair shop told me that I needed a new engine and that my engine seemed to fit a Hyundai recall. Matthew’s Hyundai told me that they would do the diagnostic and software update on my SUV and get back to me. Steven then called me and told me that my engine was not the problem. He said the problem was a cracked manifold and that would cost me $2500. Relieved that I would not need an engine I told him to do the work. After completing the work Steven called to tell me that it was not the manifold that needed to be replaced it was the engine. He then told me that I would have to pay for the manifold to get my car. I explained to him that I am a single mother and I cannot afford the fact he misdiagnosed the repair needed on my car. Why should I be responsible for paying $2500 for the manifold and $10k for the engine replacement that he quoted me? To make matters worse I have been trying to contact Steven about my car for the last month and have been given nothing but excuses as to why he can’t come to the phone. My car is still at Matthew’s Hyundai til this very day waiting to speak to Steven. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a repair shop. I feel like the only remedy at this point would be for Matthew’s Hyundai to fix the problem completely complimentarily.
