Found car on AutoTrader. It was actually Made arrangements to purchase the vehicle the following day. Asked several times, do I need to put $ down to reserve the vehicle? Sent pic of my drivers license. We arranged the time I would buy the vehicle. Asked AGAIN if I need to put $$ down to hold the vehicle. 4 hours later, receive a text saying they just sold it. Why would you sell it when I asked to pay to hold it? Their response, "Well that would not have mattered anyway. My manager does not like to reserve cars for out of state deals until the day when you start coming basically. We have got burned a lot of times and people just don't come." I'm coming from 3 hours away, not Australia and that's the point of me paying to hold the freaking vehicle. It protects us both. I've bought from Luther before and paid to hold the vehicle. If this is now the case, tell me right away so I don't go get a freaking cashiers check (as instructed). I didn't know the exact amount w/fees, etc. so I got cash for the rest. Luther now: "Oh that was a smoker vehicle, you didn't want it anyway." I must've missed that description of the vehicle on the website. They will happily sell from under you due to incompetence or indifference.
