AAA recommended, but NO DISCOUNT if you don't show the card at arrival
I came to this shop, recommended by AAA, with a nail on my rear left tire (that, by the way, was driving perfectly fine, just making a recurrent noise where the nail touched the ground). My husband inspected it himself and could tell nothing else was there. But after a check from their mechanic, out of my view, the nail became three, two rounded (similar to one another) + the one we spotted in the first place.
Also, when I took out my AAA card, to get the 10% discount, they pointed fingers to a sign saying that I should have told them before asking for service, meaning that they would not apply a $5 discount (!) for that reason (imagine if you have a bigger problem).
Anyway, since I didn't want to waste time or make a big deal for $44 bill, I just accepted to pay (around double price with the average to patch a tire) and left, obviously unhappy and now wondering about the amazing reviews I am reading.
Shortly, if you have no other place to go show your AAA card before even opening your mouth! Or go somewhere else, if you know a trusted place and you don't want to take chances as I did.
