New car purchase went swimmingly
All in all, a very pleasant experience. I negotiated a price with Stanley Ivy (sales manager) over the phone - we got to a number we were both comfortable with and one credit check later I had a reservation in place. Both Stanley and Tsim Vang (my actual sales person) were very accommodating - they held the car for me for a couple of days after it arrived so that I could complete the purchase at a time that suited my schedule. The car was ready for a test drive right on time for my appointment; by the time I was done with paperwork it had all extras installed and a full tank of gas. Tsim was a pleasure to deal with - there was no attempt to up-sell me and/or modify the deal we had agreed upon. Document preparation and signing was fairly quick, too. Special thanks to Stanley Ivy for being very fair and upfront during the pre-purchase negotiations, and to Tsim Vang for handling the actual sale very cordially and efficiently!
