Service Department Ruins what would be a 5 Start Rating
I purchased my 2022 Tuscon here and it was a great experience. I have taken my car here for all its service needs, but we won't be back. We overlooked several less than stellar service and communication experiences in the past. But today we were told the dealership will not honor a promotion we were offered when we bought the car - a 15% discount on all services if we kept the Dealership license plate frame on the car for advertising. This wasn't a big deal to us - and 15% off service is a nice break. We hadn't gotten the discount the last couple times and finally asked about it today - they now only honor it for 'original frames'. I'm not even sure what that means - this is the frame that was on it when we bought the car. Isn't that original? It seems to me it is, but apparently not. I also do not like being charged a surcharge for using my credit card to pay. Prices have already gone up exorbitantly anyway, no reason to add more to that. I will not be bringing my car back here for service, and when I trade it in next year for a new car, despite my positive experience with the sales team, the service department has ruined the dealership for us, and we will be finding another Hyundai dealer. It was a choice to go to Everett for service, as it is further away from 2 other dealers. It's a shame the service department has lost you a customer. The non-original license plate frame is now in the trash - I am not going to advertise for a company that does not keep its word. I'm giving 2 stars because I really did have a great sales experience 3 years ago - shout out to Fabian who was awesome.

Thank you for your review Alice!  We're genuinely sorry to hear about the miscommunication regarding the promotion and the frustrations you faced with the credit card surcharge. It's certainly not the kind of experience we want for our customers. Regarding the license plate frame, we understand that "original" can get a bit fuzzy. We're sorry that this led to a misunderstanding that took away from your overall satisfaction. We appreciate your honest feedback and want you to know that we take it seriously as we always aim to improve.
