We were the first ones to buy an Ioniq 5 off the lot; it was a very well reviewed car and future supplies of the car, and we needed a new car, so we were willing to drive a long way from home to buy it and pay over MSRP. Did not arrive at the dealer expecting to buy (we just wanted to test drive), but the experience and vehicle were good so we decided to go ahead and buy instead of wait for the perfect color/deal, although a lower markup would have been better, of course. The dealership and salesman were very efficient at showing us the car and getting us set up within a few hours.
Because it's brand new and an EV, there were a few things that no one at the dealership knew. Salesman was honest about things he didn't know yet, and eventually found out what we needed to know. If I can get it serviced at a dealer closer to home I will, just for convenience.
