Full brake job
My Ford Transit needed front and rear breaks including rotors. They got the job done in 24 hrs and there is a huge improvement with nice smooth stopping. Oil change and tire rotation at the same time. I have been a customer for many years and they have always done good work at reasonable prices. Interaction with the staff is always great. I highly recommend Laguna Viejo!

The Sort of Auto Repair we All Want and Need!
I have a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 151,000 miles, all of which I put on the car. I have had a lot of service done over the last 15 years. I have never experienced a car repair as pleasant and as forthcoming as this one from Laguna Viejo Auto. Amazing does not come close to describing my experience. It started with what I always did before - take a non-functioning problem (this time it was the A/C) to the Jeep dealership. Horrified at the price and with the lack of explanation, I thought about my options. I read reviews. I called Laguna Viejo Auto without any prior history or knowledge. A very friendly and super informative lady named Gail started to explain all that they could do. I was blown away. Anyone ever seen, “My Cousin Vinny”? That’s exactly where my mind went. I had found the real version of that character’s ’Monalisa’ (without the NY accent, attitude, etc. - just the mechanic smarts)! Anyway, I spoke to my wife about our options and the hunch I had about her place. Turns out she and her husband, John “the tech” own the place. How quiet and unassuming and humble is that? I went with my gut and I am overwhelmed with gratitude. John Esses, is a pro and you just can tell... I mean the guy not only deduced my A/C problem (which was NOT what Jeep said it was) but he also fixed a leaking valve seal, replaced spark plugs, did a complete inspection of my brakes and created a future issues list, which an old car like mine definitely needs! All of this, without an appointment, in 2 days, for a fraction of what Jeep was going to charge for the wrong fix. I won’t go anywhere else ever again. I feel like a kid driving my first car again. What a feeling! Thank you, John, Gail, and Megan. You understand what it means to comfort a stranger. But now we are no longer strangers. I will tell all my friends. Take your car to Laguna Viejo Auto! Just exactly what we all want and hope for in an auto repair shop but seldom experience. Amazing!!!

Immediate & accurate assessment/ In & Out
AAA referred me to Laguna Auto when my car broke down and I left it overnight. Very nice and safe location where I was comfortable waiting for an Uber - nice covered bench to sit when started to rain.

They opened at 8:00am and called me with a diagnosis by 8:30. I had a broken axel and I requested that they replace the other as well. Some shops will not replace a part (with good reason) unless it is broken. However - I drive 500 miles a week and had already replaced both axels in less than a year.

Their willingness to do a repair as preventative maintenance has saved me another time without my car and that is invaluable!!!

Thank you Laguna Auto - she is driving like a young car again.

Overall review
They were very available when I broke down on the road and had a very quick same day slot for me to get my car inside their shop. On the other hand they were extremely expensive for a diagnostic and repair compared to every other shop in the area so be prepared. One of the mechanics working on my car was not personable and had an extremely bad attitude overall to me and my dad as customers making us have no interest to go back. My car also went in the shop with a full battery and left the shop two days later with a dead battery :/ If you have the means to afford their prices, I know they are great mechanics there who will fix the issue well but for us it was not a great experience.
