Talk about a savings!
Toyota in SLO detected some oil leakage on my 2010 Prius. Given their diagnosis of the source of the leak, their estimate to repair was about $4,600. I decided instead to have King’s look at problem. Jim thought the source of the leak might be something else, which he fixed eight months ago for all of $260. Earlier this week, I had him check for any leaking and change the oil. He found no leaking. Jim will be doing all service on my Prius for the rest of its life.

FANTASTIC SERVICE!
While on a week long road trip my A/C completely failed. We were referred to one mechanic who wouldn't, (not couldn't WOULDN'T) help us. King's'not only diagnosed the problem but had us back on the road in a little over 3 hours with a new a/c compressor!

Scammers
Tried to charge 1,000 when they should have told me that it was a recall. Still charged me 200

While in general it is the responsibility of the manufacturer and the owner to keep track of factory recalls, our management software also shows when recalls are open.  On this vehicle there were no open recalls listed (Mitchell 1 Teamworks SE).  The issue in question was a check engine light that we determined was due to a short circuit that was continuously blowing a fuse.  This fuse supplied power to 5 different components.  Any of these components could have been the cause of the issue.  Each component was isolated and we found a crankcase ventilation heater as the cause.  Even if we would have had a flag for an open recall it does not mean that the recalled component is the cause of the failure in question.  After doing further research the recall in question was not listed on this chassis number, or year of this vehicle.  We make it a practice to let our customers know if our system flags an open recall and if it may include a current complaint.  In this instance it did not.  As for the diagnostic charge, we performed a full diagnostic and were able to prove our results were correct.  The diagnostic charge was fair for the services performed.
