Good morning. We are sorry about your experience with our shop. We inspected and diagnosed your vehicle. You had a misfire on cylinder 4. We moved the coil and the spark plug to separate and different cylinder. We cleared the codes, and test drove the vehicle. The misfire followed the spark plug on the test drive. We had to start with a tune up to replace all the plugs and we performed a GDI induction service. The GDI service helps to clean and remove carbon buildup on the valves. After we performed the repairs, we test drove the vehicle with no problems, no codes, and no misfires. The check engine light can be turned on by hundreds of different reasons and for hundreds of different codes. The light being on might not be related to any repair that we did. However, if it is related to our work, then we have a 2-year or 24,000 mile nationwide warranty. We have no problem standing behind all of our repairs. Anytime there is a problem, the customer is always welcome and requested to call us so we can rectify any potential warranty situations. Good morning. We are sorry you are dissapointed in our shop. It sounds like the other shops are not pricing out the entire system which is needed. Your compressor locked up, and the entire system is contaminated. If all we priced was an a/c kit which is just a partial system, then our price would have been a lot lower. However, when the system gets contaminated, the entire system has to be replaced. Doing just a kit would not be a proper repair nor would it be a lasting repair because the contamination would ruin the new parts. To replace the whole system, the dash has to be pulled to replace the evaporator. To remove your dash the windshield has to be removed. The difference in price is in case the windshield broke coming out which is a risk anytime a windshield is removed. We did not design the vehicle. It is a poor design from the manufacturer, but that is not our fault. We know what all is involved in replacing the entire system, and, unfortunately, it is very expensive.
