Outrageously terrible
want to clarify that he did not do the install the proper way. And this is how we know....The device we brought him was from our old Town and Country (2011). When we had the initial install in La Crosse, it took less than an hour, and there were no problems. When my husband (Eric)brought our new Town& Country (2015) to Dave, he began work at noon. Eric took a seat in the waiting area. At no time did Dave mention this was an all-day job, or that Eric should expect to spend the night. Eric continued sitting for hours. He listened to Dave on 4 phone calls asking how to do the job. It became clear to Eric the Dave didn't know what he was doing. He twice gave Dave an opportunity to back out of the job, but Dave refused to stop. Eric also called Parsons in Eagle River, where we purchased the car, for guidance, and was concerned about if the warranty will cover repairs if Dave damages our car. Finally, after 4 hours, Dave still can't get our car started. He blames it on the key fob, so puts a new battery in it, and actually tries to charge Eric for it!! That doesn't work, so he gives up and says he's closing shop, and tells Eric, "I don't know what you're going to do, but I've got places to be". Dave never says that he knows what is wrong or what the solution is, or what his plan is. He puts Eric out on the street after dark, in winter, on a Friday night, in a strange town, not knowing IF or WHEN our vehicle will be repaired. When we asked my mother to take us back to Iron River Saturday morning, we expected the shop to be closed and then we'd proceed to the police department for assistance. But, when we arrived at the shop, the door was open. Dave's only words were, "keys are on the visor" and waved us away. Dave never even called Eric that morning to let him know the car was fixed and to come pick it up. Dave just parked it across the street with the keys in it!!

Lacks decency and competence
NEVER, EVER go here. Only gave one star because I can't go any lower. We were referred to this idiot by the Draeger Interlock company because he is supposed to be one of their certified technicians for installation of their ignition interlock devices. My husband drove 45 minutes to this garage for installation appt., spent 4 hrs waiting for a service that should take less then an hour, only to be put out on the street, after dark, in winter without a vehicle to drive home in. The owner/mechanic blew out the electrical system of our vehicle, and tried to blame it on the key fob when the car wouldn't start. He then told my husband he'd have to leave because it was closing time, and that he didn't know if or when he'd be able to fix our car. He said to my husband, "I don't know what you're going to do, but I got places to be." This incompetent scammer felt no obligation to help my husband get home after wrecking our vehicle and stranding my husband 45 minutes from the hotel we call home while I work as a travel nurse in Eagle River. My husband, never having been Iron River, walked until he came to a hotel a mile down the road, where he waited for my mother, who lives 1 hr. from Iron River, to pick him up. This was on FRIDAY afternoon, you can guess what happens next. None are too ridiculous! Do your community a favor and pass this info along.

Take your vehicle else where
My brother's vehicle broke down in July while he was here visiting. My brother took his vehicle here and proceeded to wait 4 months before his vehicle was even worked on. My brother had to call the state in order for anything to get fixed bc he was told that other customers were more important. If you have a vehicle sitting there waiting to be repaired I would suggest contacting the state bc there is no was this guy is going to do anything for you unless he absolutely has to

Not So Hot
The work they did came apart and disabled me in 1,200 miles. A friend had work done there a few weeks before and left her disabled and out of town overnight. When confronted with the obvious, denial is his weapon of choice. I have been waiting two weeks for them to recover the car from where I had it towed, because the last thing I expected was for the work they just did to unravel! The two shops actually conversed to back up my story, but being polite isn't working with this place.

Worst Customer Service EVER
they charged my card & then tried to blame uhaul for charging my card
i didn't deal with uhaul
i dealt with k&d & i did not give uhaul my card to charge
denies charging me even though k&d is listed on the charge
i would never recommend this business
the review wouldn't allow me to give ZERO stars

death of a battery
My battery died. K and D put it to rest and I got a new one replaced by Rich. That's about it yes it is a sad story
