Car fixed perfectly
The problem was diagnosed and fixed in the first visit plus they even found an annoying rattle in the rear of the car. . Communication was great and I appreciate the honesty as I've had problems with past shops taking advantage of me.

Routine maintenance
I had taken my van into the dealership for it's lifetime oil change and of course they said there was a long list of items due. I then called John's with that same list. Then did what needed to be done for much less then the dealership. So thankful for them.

Scheduled Maintenance - Poor Service
I've been a customer for almost 20 years and am concerned about the level of service during the last few years. During this last visit, the technician did not sufficiently address the request for maintenance. I received a ride from a family member to the shop and paid for the maintenance. I left the premises only to discover that my vehicle had no power and was in several dangerous situations since I could not accelerate even with the pedal completely depressed. I called to explain what was occuring and returned. Tech said it would take 5 - 10 minutes as he knew what needed to be done. Over an hour and a half later of waiting technician shared that one of the parts was like a marshmallow when he reinstalled it after the fuel filter was changed. He told me he tightened it but could not guarantee that it would last a mile. To which I replied what is it going to take my car and what would it take to get my car fixed as I was absolutely NOT going to leave with that type of risk. He shared all that needed to be done (3 parts to replace) and I was advised that labor would be comped but I'd have to pay for the parts. I am deeply disappointed that the technician would be so focused on just replacing the fuel filter that he would reinstall parts that he knew were bad and put me at risk! My car was fixed a day later (not all that was listed needing repaired was done though) at no cost. This is not the first time that such focus by a tech on only the task has cost us. Please train the technicians to notify the office staff when there are other issues associated with a repair so the customer can be notified and appropriate actions can be taken to not inconvenience the customer with time and also not put the customer at risk when taking their vehicle.
