The next day there was a brake failure with alerts. Suspecting it to be a result of the work done, the car was towed in. It was repaired quickly despite a warning of a possible overnight wait for parts. The cause was rusted brake lines. The shop explained exactly why they don't don't want a reputation for charging customers for unneeded work. Signs of rust show up early this close to the coast.
