No after sales service
I purchased a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe from Jason Pilger, Gautier MS in March 2025. Within 30 days and less than 3,100 miles after washing and drying my car, I noticed a 2 inch patch of missing clear coat and less than 1/2 inch of paint missing from my front bumper. I immediately went back to the dealer to file a warranty claim since the paint is under warranty for 3 years or 36,000 miles. It was very obvious that this damage was not caused by an outside influence such as running into something or something hitting the bumper. The repair technician (Robert) advised they would submit a claim and it would normally take one or two weeks. Four weeks later no response from the dealer.

I questioned the delay weekly and still no action, even asking my sales clerk (Jeff) to intercede. Since I was not getting any satisfaction from Jason Pilger service department, I went to Matt Bowers in Gulfport 3 weeks after notifying Jason Pilger. The outstanding service manager at Matt Bowers, Vinh, advised me that a paint warranty claim like this would normally take 2 hours IF SUBMITTED, not the 1 or 2 weeks as stated by Jason Pilger personnel. I waited at Matt Bowers and 1 hr 16 minutes later, this dealer received a positive warranty claim and I was advised to return the car at my convenience for a warranty paint repair. I returned the car the next morning and 4 work days later my car bumper was repainted under a warranty claim. The service manager at Matt Bowers actively worked my warranty claim and received approval in a little over 75 minutes. Compare that service with the service manager at Jason Pilger who advised me it takes time and they WOULD CALL ME WHEN APPROVED. Four weeks later and no action! Hyundai advertising highlights the “best warranty in the industry”! I’m guessing this does not include the very best service technicians available or after sales service! My recommendation, if you need service from a Hyundai dealer, don’t go to Jason Pilger. I’m certain, had I known this poor service submitting a warranty claim prior to purchasing a car I wouldn’t have gone there!
