Quick and transparent
Overall turnaround was surprisingly quick. Price was about average, you probably could find a cheaper mechanic but not without tradeoffs. Transparency was excellent. Only upsell was a UV dye for my oil in order to find a possible slow leak for a whopping $80 which I declined. Overall good service, minus one star for the minor upsell attempt and slightly above average cost.

Regarding the UV dye upsell: we want to clarify that the $80 service includes not just the dye, but also a thorough steam cleaning of the engine area. This step is essential for removing any existing oil residue so that we can accurately pinpoint the source of a slow leak during follow-up inspections. We understand not everyone opts for it, but we always want to offer solutions that help prevent larger, costlier repairs down the road.

Support small business!
Import Specialists was wonderful with listening to my car concerns and was able to give me advice I could trust regarding my Honda's AC issues. I dropped off my car in the morning and got it back that evening in great shape- the job (replacing the AC compressor) was a quarter of the price that the dealership would've quoted me, and I walked away from Import Specialists with 100% more confidence than if I got my car fixed at the dealership. They educate you on your car's issue without sounding like a pushy salesperson who wants more money. Their actions demonstrate they value transparency and quality!

Language matters!
Helpful and timely response.
Problem fixed to satisfaction.
I should have looked at leaky seal myself.
I was offered opportunity and turned it down.
Words really do matter.
When I saw significant leak on exit paperwork I felt I failed to understand the importance of the needed repair.
Opted out of service.
" eyeball" it is not language I understand.

90K tune up
We had a 90K mile tune up on our Toyota Highlander.
Everything went smoothly and efficient! They were flexible on scheduling, thoroughly explained everything they needed to, including itemized pricing, and finished on time.

Replaced brakes and rotors
I've been taking my vehicles to import specialist since 1995. The work they do is great. They are honest and fair priced. I've recommended many of my friends to use their service for these reasons

Import specialist took care of me when another mechanic messed up and screwed up my car (which I only took to the other place for convenience sake)Phil advocated for me with the other mechanic for them to make it right.
