CAUTION. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE. VERY SLIPPERY DEALERSHIP
CAUTION, I purchased a used vehicle at Hyundai of San Luis Obispo and had transmission problems from the start. They trick you by stating they do a full safety inspection to every trade in and used vehicle they purchase AT AUCTIONS. What they do not tell you is that they DO NOT DO A FULL DIAGNOSES on their used vehicles. When I took the vehicle into the service department I had to pay $200. for the full diagnosis only to have the service manager ( Jim Bonn ) verify that the car had transmission issues but that they were not interested in servicing the vehicle and told me to take it to Coast Nissan, basically see you later, there is the door They went from being very friendly when I purchased the car, to becoming very stern in the way they do business. It seems more like a small used vehicle lot instead of major corporation like Hyundai. Furthermore, It was not easy communicating with Jim Bonn or the owner Rob Haupt who never got back to me after serval attempts to contact him. Finally, They seem OK with selling you a vehicle that has major problems and allowing you to put your foamily in them and then wish you good luck. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

Terrible place
Terrible place with horrific customer service. I hassled with that place and Hyundai corporate for few months to replace my cracked windshield due to clear manufacturer's defect.
But their service manager Jim Bonn was so consistent giving me hard time and convinced hyundai corporate not to cover it under warranty. surprisingly When I took the car to Winn Hyundai in santa Maria it took few seconds to determine it is a manufacturers defect and replaced my windsheild for me within few days at no cost revealing how ugly Hyundai san luis obispo is.

Great service, easy check in/out
Staff was great, explained everything, great experience. Shuttle to work was super convenient. No wait times for anything. Only negative was the mobile website scheduling wouldn’t function to show appointment times so I had to use a desktop. Otherwise would’ve given 5 stars all the way.

Fantastic Customer Service!
John and his staff were EXCEPTIONAL in customer service! Everything was explained, printed out for me to view and understand fully what the service would be. The staff is friendly, professional and attentive! I can't thank them enough along with the guys and gals that did the tires, recall items AND washed my car! I so appreciate you all!

Adam Villanueva makes the difference
Due to some misinformation we had been given by others in the service department on three different occasions Adam Villanueva took the time to print out information on our vehicle warranty so now there is not question that the information we have in hand is correct. Initially being told our complimentary service (3yr/36k miles) was to be done every 5k miles when in fact it is every 6k miles as our vehicle is a turbo. Oil/tire rotation/etc was done at 5k so we brought the car back at 10k miles when in fact it should have been at 6k miles and the next at 12k miles. However, it turned out we had a swishing noise in the steering wheel and a bearing was replaced under warranty. Adam also had the inspection done, checked fluids, etc and a car wash. He was professional and apologized more that once for the previous misinformation we had been given so now when we bring out vehicle back at 12k miles our complimentary service will be on track.
