On January 25, 2025 I bought a used 2016 Nissan Altima SR. At first the staff was.friendly and rolled out the red carpet. I hooked my code reader to the vehicle during the test drive and no bad codes were thrown. The car was advertised as having. 90,000 miles. However the odometer read 94,400. So someone at the dealership drove this car 4,400 miles. I let it slide because my thought process that the car should be in good shape with no codes thrown and an additional 4,400 miles. The sales person informed me that the vehicle had passed their inspection. So I decided to purchase the vehicle. Two days after purchase, the vehicle broke down. It had sliw acceleration at a traffic light. I was on RT 54 in Wealey Chapel and could have been involved in an accident as the road is always very busy with traffic. I managed to make it to the Popeyes Chicken restaurant. I was on the fence about towing to Midas or back to the dealer. I called the General Manager Matthew Yee. I had to call several times before I got him on the phone. He told me that since I had just gotten the vehicle he will work out something. Based on that I had the vehicle towed. They kept the vehicle 3 days. The technician, Justin, told me that they had given it a diagnostic test , but everything was functioning normal. He told me they had driven the vehicle and could not reproduce the problem. He then told me that some other guy with a more sophisticated machine, had no findings. The only other suggestion was to send the vehicle to the Nissan Dealership and have them look at it. But ut required manager approval. In the ens, Justin informed me that management did. Ot want to pay for the diagnostic test. Reflecting on how terrified I was with the slow acceleration and dense traffic, I drove the vehicle to Nissan myself. Since they couldn't reproduce the issue, I figured that I could get the vehicle up the road to Nissan. I had my mother to trail me.
After the test with Nissan, they said that all seemed fine but there was indeed something going on that was intermittent. They asked if they could keep the vehicle overnight for further evaluation. I agreed. The next day I was informed that the root of the issue was a bad alternator. The technician told me that they started the vehicle allowing the engine to heat up. He then connected a computerized monitor to the vehicle and began driving it. Upon doing so, he could see the voltage of the alternator charging and then losing charges. The cost to fix was $1,169.49. I called one of the managers at Hyundai, Fabio whose real name is Cristian, and I was hung up on. I called again. When I got him on the phone he told me in a stern voice that he would call me back. To this day I have not heard from him. Now, when I bought this used vehicle I did buy it as is. However, my understanding of as is was that the vehicle had no issues. I moved my mother, my 93 year old grandmother, my daughter, son in law, and grandkids(twins) from St Louis, MO to Wesley Chapel all by myself, to give my family a better life. I had planned on taking my 93 year old grandmother to the Florida Keys. But because I had to pay almost $1200 dollars to get my vehicle fixed, this trip cant happen now. I went without a vehicle for 2 years, being selfless and making a better way for my family. Then when the need arises for me to have a vehicle, I take my hard earned money, pay for a vehicle in cash, at the Hyundai Dealership in Wesley Chapel, and this is how I am done. I am a hard working American just like the rest of you. I grew up in E Saint Louis, IL. Statistically? I should be dead or in prison. But rather, I defied my odds and transformed myself into a software engineer. My friend and I just had a discussion about our professions. There arent many people in my field who are black. Where I grew up, people dont have that kind if money. I didnt rob or steal! I saved and invested. And despite how long it took me to get the amount that I had saved, they treated me like a number. Dont buy your car from Hyundai. They only care about your money

Terrible service !!!
Horrible service department. Scheduled an appointment for an oil change and addressed other concerns. Was told it would be $150 for a diagnostic test and the time they needed for that and an oil change was for 2 hrs.
Took the car at 10:30 am. Didn’t hear back from them until 4pm! Only because we had to go, get and Uber and check on the car ourselves. When we arrived they notified us that they had just started on the oil change and that the test wasn’t ran yet.
No one gave us updates . It’s ridiculous that people who have things to do have to constantly call in to remind people how to do their job properly .Nonetheless the service is horrible. Workers that are not related to the sales area are rude and have no sympathy.

Don’t buy your car from this dealership.
I purchased a vehicle from them, all cash transaction, no loan. It took 5 months to get my title. They promised the title within 30 days. That did not happen. I tried to contact them, they would pass me around from receptionist, to sales person, to manager, to loan person, back to the receptionist. No one would give me a straight answer. At one point they started hanging up when I called. So, I had a vehicle, that was purchased and paid for in full, but did not have the title for it. Eventually I got a ticket because I was driving using an expired temporary tag. I got an attorney involved who found out that this dealership does all of their title work at a third party that handles Hyundai of Wesley Chapel work along with many others. This third party was overworked, understaffed and way behind on sending titles. After many threatening phone calls and emails from my attorney, they did finally send the title after 5 months. The worst part of it is that this dealership was not honest about why the title was delayed and that they avoided talking to me about the issue. So, horrible customer service and if you want to get the TITLE of the vehicle you PURCHASED in full, you should go somewhere else.

Stay away! Worst customer service. Purchased vehicle 5/2023 and still have issues with installed parts that they acknowledge. No one follows up. They don't keep to their word with remedying the problems. Go elsewhere and save yourself a major headache. 0 stars but had to give 1.

I fall for the same behavior.
I love my Hyundai Sonata. In 13 years it only to replace the engine one time because it was part of a dangerous recall. It only took them 4 months to do the job. Something I should have learned at that time. Now we are back with another supposedly recall which by my luck was not the part that was "damaged" . I accept the new $560 + repair estimate and give the go ahead.. Now 3 days later, excuses and more excuses. Broken parts being delivered, delayed deliveries. No parts. And at the end , NO idea when the parts will get there.
Hey what can I do when they take your car apart and you can not take it home or to another mechanic. Just wait, pay for a rental car a suck it in. They do not have a problem, they probably could take any car home this afternoon.
I be waiting again..again...again.

I will never buy another vehicle at Wesley Chapel again.
The wife and I arrived at Wesley Chapel Hyundai to look at Palisades. We found one we really liked, the salesman was excellent in going over the features and test drive. We didn't purchase at first, checking other palisades in the area. we kept going back to Wesley chapel, We finally made the deal. All was fine until we met the finance manager Matt Yee- He kept pressing us for extras, like tire/wheel protection, Platinum coverage, etc, etc. we did get platinum coverage, I repeatedly said "NO" to tire/wheel protection. $466. He puts stack papers in front of us to sign and we wrote check and left with our Palisade. few days later I'm looking over papers. Matt Yee added tire/wheel protection that I said NO to. we contacted him, he insisted we keep it. I was PISSED. he said he would cancel it and refund our $466. Long story short. he never canceled it, we complained to sales manager. he says it could be few weeks til we get our money back, We finally did get our money back that Matt Yee was unauthorized to put on tire/wheel protection. it took from Jan to Aug. the dealership should've stepped in and took it out of matt Yee's pay . I hope finance manager Matt Yee gets fired. so sneaky and crooked of him.

Only go here if you're a masochist
Leased a 2018 Santa Fe and then a 2020 Sonata from this dealership. No issues other than not being able to get in for service during the pandemic. Because there was no inventory to lease a 2023 Sonata I decided to buy out the lease of one I had. I am 75 and this was the worst buying experience I've ever had. I went along with everything, my fault. The finance manager rushed through the entire process. I gave him 2 financial institutions with which I had a relationship. He came up with an institution I'd never heard of previously. He told that the rates were all the same and that these guys had responded. He acknowledged that I have excellent credit. I bought several packages and signed lots of documents. When we got done he gave me a thumb drive and said everything was on it. I didn't see how that could be possible since he never scanned all the paper I signed, but he said it was all there. Of course it wasn't, there were 5 pages of the documents I signed on the pad he was using. That was Thursday, 5/4. On the following Monday I received an email from the lender and when I saw the rate I had a fit. I tried calling for several days and never received a call back. I finally got through to the sales manager, who was rude and told me that all rates were the same and therefor there is no way to do better, and anything I said to the contrary was just hearsay. He suggested I wait 3 months and refinance. He said when I get a better rate I should call him back. That after telling me that I wasted 15 minutes of both our times. When I called him back his response was "Good for you." I was also calling to find out why I only received pages of the transaction and no brochures or information about the packages I bought. Nobody would return my phone calls. I finally ended up with the general manager after many, many attempts. He apologized for what I went through and said he would speak with people. The finance manager then scanned and sent me more of the documents and pdf's of two of the packages, still missing one. Then after all of this, and wanting to put it all behind me, on May 29th I received an email from Hyundai Finance informing me that I was delinquent on my lease payment. I called to inform them that I had bought the car but they said that had not been paid off and that would be between me and the dealership. I called several times a day for the entire week, until June 2 with not one return call. That was to the General Manager, Sales Manager and Finance Manager. I also sent emails to the Finance Manager. I went into the dealership on June 5th, now a full month after the transaction. The GM wasn't there, the SM sent an email to someone, telling me they would respond that afternoon. The FM gave me the last brochure and insisted the lease had been handled. He didn't want to see the email I received while waiting for him. He said it is not really delinquent until 30 days late. I guess I'm supposed to ignore it and have my credit negatively affected. It is now June 6 and once again the only communication I received is another ding email about being delinquent.
Terrible dealership with even worse customer service. I filed a complaint with Hyundai USA with no response, so I guess they are the same. Like the car and had liked the brand, but never again.
