Female veteran taking advantage of
Do not go to this dealership. I’m a female veteran. And I was manipulated and taken advantage of. Brandon and Parker. Cross is rude and a very condescending man. The two owners do not take care of the customers. I’ve been disrespected and treated bad. The women owner sees customer needing assistance as harassment. Attorney general’s office sent me my paperwork.

POOR SERVICE
I HAD A FRIEND OF MINE CONTACT THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THERE HYUNDAI SONATA CHECKED OUT FOR A ENGINE KNOCK. WE FOUND OUT THAT THE CAR WAS INVOLVED IN A WARRANTY EXTENSION ON THAT ENGINE & WHERE TOLD BY KEAGEN THAT IF THE ROD BEARING HAD FAILED THAT IT WOULD ON THE QWNER TO PAY FOR THE REAPIRS WHICH IS WRONG. I CALLED GARY THE SERVICE MANAGER & TOLD HIM THAT I HAD TALKED TO ANOTHER DEALER TO CONFIRM THAT THE CAR WAS INVOLVED WITH THIS WARRANTY EXTENSION ON THE ENGINE WHICH IT IS & HE TOLD THAT MAYBE I SHOULD TAKE THE CAR TO THAT DEALERSHIP WHICH WE HAPPILY DID AND QUESS WAHT IT WAS COVERED BY HYUNDAI WARRANTY. THIS IS VERY POOR SERVICE & THEY WILL NEVER EVER COME BACK TO HAVE ANYTHING DONE AT YOUR DEALERSHIP

Defective Hyundai
I purchased a 2017 Hyundai Sonata with serious oil consumption issues and shifting problems. I notified the sales manager the 1st week. He denies we had that conversation. The dealer and Hyundai has refused to fix it. It's my 5th and last Hyundai. I'm very disappointed because it turns out that's a known issue with Hyundai.

Horrible Experience
I purchased a New 2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid two months ago and had a horrible experience with Hyundai of Columbus / Columbus Auto Group.

It’s honestly my fault for being so trusting and not asking more questions regarding the extended warranty. Manipulation and lack of explanation in the finance room with Gene Allen - I left with a raised price of $6,400(ish) for the unexplained extended warranty and a total of 6 single sheets of paper as my contract was shoved in an envelope and out the door I went. (Still haven’t received my 20 something missing extended warranty pages)

Jakob Sullinger was my salesman and was seemingly a nice guy…until I left my survey feedback of “if I would recommend this dealership” on their survey. Never heard from him again.

I was in contact with Mallorie Trobaugh, Customer Experience Specialist, and in great detail I explained my experience. Several apologies later I was assured an investigation was being done and she requested various names and details about my experience. She gave me her managers contact information as well as the executive. I was also promised a follow up and a particular phone call at 4pm which never occurred. After about a week of empty promises I emailed about the status of this investigation and asking if I need to get legal representation. I didn’t actually get a reply to that email but I did get a phone call and text message from Cross Pohl who is the General Sales Manager of Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram / Hyundai of Columbus.

I have an actual voicemail from Cross, the most condescending man, saying I was “imagining scenarios” and my email (about this investigation) wasn’t “intersecting with realty” and that they need to update their verbiage as no investigation was actually being done.

So, long story short, the $6,400(ish) has been refunded to my lien holder from the warranty cancellation. I’m still waiting on my missing contract papers and my basket of chocolates that Cross promised me “for my inconvenience”

Great Service
When we were unable to get our car in to our regular place of service, they quickly got us in, determined the issue and worked with the manufacturer on the warranty. We had our car repaired and returned to us before our regular dealership could even schedule us in. Great service!

Horrible service and reliability
Brought my car in for a performance issue. I dropped off my car in the AM and I was told I could get shuttled to my workplace that is on the same road, 3-5 minutes away from the dealership. I literally waited more than an hour to be shuttled to my workplace when I was told it would be as soon as I dropped off the car. The tech unprofessionally diagnosed the issue as a “clogged” catalytic converter. The service advisor was avoidant and did not communicate anything. I had to constantly call for updates or to even speak with someone. I requested a new service advisor who was better, but still not good. They held on to my vehicle “waiting for parts” for more than a month to replace the converter. Every week, there was an excuse as to why the converter didn’t arrive when they said it would. Sometimes they just didn’t know anything. I felt like I was tossed in the back of their priorities, and was made to feel like a nuisance they had to deal with. When I finally got my vehicle back, it was supposed to be fixed, the same issue was still present. This is warranty work I didn’t have to pay for, but in the beginning I told them to do a transmission flush because I trusted them. I hate that I payed them close to $300 for the kind of service I received. The issue is not and never was the catalytic converter. P2565 - turbocharger boost control pressure sensor A circuit high. The wastegate is staying open, and not building boost. This is not rocket science. Is it a bad sensor? A bad actuator? Or does it need to be adjusted? Thats for an actual professional to find out. They had “their best guy” on the job, but this makes me think their best guy isn’t even an ASE certified master tech, and they’re most likely an inexperienced shade tree mechanic. I lost all faith in this dealership, and I will avoid them as much as I can. This is my 2nd Hyundai, but from now on, I will not be buying a Hyundai or Kia ever again, and I will advise others to do the same. Avoid this dealership if you can. Everything I experienced with this dealership was unprofessional and unsatisfactory.

I am giving the survey a 1 because your service department took advantage of a confused old man and did $1500 worth of work to a vehicle he was planning on trading in. So not only did your service department disappoint my family but also lost the ability for us to trade that car into your sales department.

An exceptional experience in a difficult situation
This was my first experience with the dealership. I was in need of a major repair on my Santa Fe. The service personnel were outstanding. The courtesy, the understanding of my situation, the professionalism were far beyond what I had expected. The service manager went through the repair process step by step with me and he gave me a timeline for getting the work done. He coordinated with Hyundai to get the warranty work done while keeping my expense down. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the shop and the work the service personnel did on the car.
