Good work, but
They've done good work for me in the past. Ive made referrals to them to people looking for something local. A bit expensive, but I chose this location over my usual mechanic because its close. My usual mechanic did my rear brakes a couple years ago. My front brakes were due and I wanted to get both front and rear brakes done all at once to get them all current. This was for a work vehicle and the less downtime scheduling things the better. I was fully prepared to pay for the whole set going in. I explained this to them when I made the appointment for the brakes as well as an oil change while it was in there and the gentleman agreed with me. I made this appointment a couple weeks in advance and he was happy it wasn't the usual "get me in today" appointment. Now I dropped the truck off the night before so they could start the work first thing, which they did (I have a tracker on the truck and know when its been moved). I get a call telling me that its ready 5 hours later and they told me they did the oil and did the front brakes. Not only that but they found a Crack in the sway bar and they fixed it. What? So I arrive to pick up the truck and I inquire 1, why didnt you do the rear brakes as well as requested, and 2, why didnt I get a courtesy phone call when you found something other than what was on the service order? That to me is like spending someone elses money without permission. Chances are, the woman at the desk was too preoccupied with her ornately decorated velociraptor fingernails than to be bothered with reading a service order or even giving a customer a call when something else is discovered. She agreed it was a mistake and didnt charge me for the sway bar repair (even though I asked her not to) which was over $200 by the way. Now I was fully prepared to pay more for the job I wanted and they shot themselves in the foot, twice. No money for the sway bar and no money for the rear brakes that werent done. I won't be going back to them for the rear brakes when I need them. 2 strikes on 1 event is more than enough for me to not want to make it a third. I apologize here to my regular mechanic.

I completely apologize again as I did that day; it was wrong on my part ... I thought I has doing the right thing by not pre-maturley replacing your rear brakes when they didn't need replacing & that is completely on me - I fully take responsibility for that!!   I also take FULL responsibility for the sway bar links which is why I did not charge you - you are 100% right I should have touched based with you and not based your repairs on the fact that our customers like our honestly of not selling something something they don't need & fixing something while in there.   Bottom line NO excuses and NO nails involved .... I should have called and I am VERY sorry!!    High Tech Automotive prides itself on not selling repairs to customers that are not needed.
