Only good experience was with Edward Mills, the pre-owned salesman. He tried to do everything he could to please me and went so far as to personally deliver the car from Charlotte to Myrtle Beach.
The complaints that I have below are due to things outside of his control:
- The car was not detailed. I had to spend $350 with a local detailer in order to get the car clean. There was dust and dirt throughout the inside. The windshield, when the sun shone through it, had multiple streaks and showed the fact that it was just wiped and not cleaned.
- Once I installed the BMW app on my phone, it was determined that the car needed to have an oil change in approximately 1,300 miles. This is inexcusable! The car should have had an oil change before it was delivered to me. One would expect this when purchasing a $60K car.
- The fan noise inside the car from the air-conditioning was/is so high that I need to put the radio up at a higher volume in order to be able to drown out the fan noise. I spoke with my son who was a service manager at BMW in New York and he advised me that it is most likely due to filter that is either clogged or needs to be cleaned or changed…I have an appointment to take it to a local BMW dealer. Shouldn’t that have been detected as part of the CPO inspection?
These complaints were voiced to the dealer’s GM and received no response.
