Promising Shop Got a Big Head
I used H88 Auto a few years ago to replace my air conditioner. They did a good job and costed less than the 4 other quotes I got by $500 compared to the next cheapest. I went back with a different car and different issue a few years later. At this point, they had gotten much more popular and busy. Their offices and building had expanded. Instead of dealing directly with the owner, I dealt with a grouchy, mean old man who seemed pissed off that I had brought a car to a car shop and was nasty with me about everything. He told me they didn't have any room to get me in for a few weeks and that he would call when I could bring it in. He did not make any kind of appointment, not even for weeks out. Then, he never called. They actively didn't want my business. I've been telling everybody who will listen since then. I spent years telling everybody how great they were and now I will tell everybody I meet how awful they are until the day they go out of business. Avoid them at all costs!
