I had a bad experience with Golbow’s Garage towing service. When we called them, they told us that it will cost $175 to take the car from the seventh floor of the Methodist Hospital Garage to its destination. We were told that a special truck would come for this, and they took the time to make sure this special truck was available. A driver showed up without a truck. He insisted to drive the car himself and did not allow me to do so. He told us that his truck could not get in the garage. He drove the car down to the flatbed truck (not a special one). Later we understood that they charged us $75 for driving my car from the seventh floor to the first floor. It took him less than 5 minutes to do so. This was in addition of the cost of transporting my car with their flatbed truck. It was not the error of one employee, but it seems to be how they do business. They refused to change it when I called them, and they did not respond to my messages put twice on their web site. I will never use them again as I don’t like cheaters. I want you to be aware and select honest businesses.
