Very disappointing
What a disappointment. As someone who is out of my element with cars I was grateful for the warm welcome at Grants Pass Toyota and their assurances of straight forward dealings and a dedication to customer service. However, this is not the experience I had there.
They offered me a good trade in value for my truck but when I agreed and came back to do the deal they said oops, and offered 6K less. They had made a mistake and hadn’t noticed some damage to the body that has been there for years. This was a big disappointment and required us to write a much bigger check for our new car than we had expected. However, they barely apologized for their sloppy work and offered no compensation, not even a token. Adding insult to injury, the salesman we worked with had the audacity to suggest to my 85 year old father that we had done that damage since their offer, and were trying to pass it off.
I don’t respect this way of doing business. Every successful business I have been a part of has gone out of their way to offer a customer some kind of compensation when the business makes a mistake, especially a big one; a deal on other services or at least a token gift, as a show of respect and an effort at compensation for the difficulties they caused. Grants Pass Toyota offered us nothing, repeatedly saying “There’s nothing we can do”. I call that a fail at basic customer service. Don’t expect to be treated well at Grants Pass Toyota. They talk the talk, but don’t walk the walk.

Omar Meza provided the best buying experience we have received in our 52 years of new car purchases. He was knowledgeable, kept us informed during the delivery process and followed up after delivery. Really good job!!

Ok service, great car
Walking in, I was very happy to work with such knowledgeable and polite salesman like Omar. However, buyers should know if you are told “We put our best price up front,” that is their way of telling you they will not negotiate with you. I was told this several times, even after asking specifically if I would be able to negotiate, and this is what they said all along. I was already interested in the car, so I would have appreciated honesty instead of word games. Next was financing, which took an unusually long time but I held out hope because Kent was very nice. But once he brought a pamphlet out for me to insure my car with them, he pressured me quite a bit and was condescending when I said no. Despite all of this, Mike made the frustration and waiting worth while. He waited with us and made great conversation. He was by far the best part of the whole experience besides driving away with a great vehicle.

Easiest and Nicest place to buy a car!
Shawn Opplet and Neil Hemmingson are very easy to work with, very knowledgeable and know the true meaning of customer service. This was the faster and most efficient car buying experience I’ve ever had. There was no back and forth to a sales manager and no pressure. The price on the vehicle is the price. I was in and out in 2 hours and that included test driving the vehicle. I won’t hesitate to do business with them in the future.

Super rad and stress free staff
Levi is the man! He helped my 70 year old father who has always been a penny pincher buy his first practically new Honda Accord! For the first time in his life he has a car that he can count on, and that makes life easier for all of us. The crew at Grants Pass Toyota was patient and very helpful in finding the easiest most affordable way to purchase a car. We both are very Thankfull and excited to work with you in the future ?. And a big shout out to Tyler for setting him up with low financing to complete his purchase! You guys are great!

Preowned car purchase
I just purchased a preowned Subaru Forester from G.P. Toyota. I expected to go through an extensive purchase process. Instead, to my surprise, I received a very pleasant purchase experience. Every member of the sales staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable through the process. Especially friendly and very helpful was Levi Tompkins, the sales associate who gave me all the information I asked for, and more. I definitely recommend Levi to anyone in the market for a new or used car. He is the best I have ever had. I would also recommend G.P Toyota. I would do business with them again.

Great service!
My wife and I recently purchased a certified, preowned vehicle from these guys, and it was such a pleasant experience. Everyone we spoke with (particularly Omar), were really polite and helpful. We thought buying a car might be stressful, but these guys took away all the hassle. We would give them more than 5 stars if we could!

Service to sales
Mike in the service dept was a pleasure to work with making certain we knew all that was going on.
In the sales dept, stephanie, karl, kent and Tyler made purchasing a vehicle as seamless as possible. All were professional, knowledgeable and outgoing.
I would highly reccomend both the sales and service dept at Grant's pass toyota, for all your vehicle needs

Unsettling News
First of all, I worked at Wheeler Toyota for 11 years and left the company prior to the ownership change. Wheeler was a great company to work for and I left in GREAT standings to pursue my dream in law enforcement (the owners were very supportive).

Today, I learned one of their long term employees is also following their dream to become a police officer. The employee advised the company (Brad/ owner) and told him he was in the hiring process, but it was not a sure thing. It should be noted, Brad advertises to his employees to better themselves and pursue their dreams. I’m this case that philosophy is not true.

Since this employee was honest with the company, they now see him as a burden and he is being fired tomorrow for “just cause.” If this is how Grants Pass Toyota (Brad) treats it’s employees, just imagine how they treat their customers.
