Totally Awesome Mechanics
When you walk into this shop you are entering a time warp into better times when decency, skill and excellence were prized, and honest compensation was earned by the men and women who worked for it. I've been a technologist and a car guy for my whole life and I have done enough repair work myself to assess mechanics in both skill and integrity. In both dimensions there are none better in the entire western world. They are among the best, most honest and forthright individuals I have ever known.

They by far the sharpest diagnosticians in New England. Even with modern self diagnostics, funky things are bound to happen. Typical mechanics know little beyond what the computer says--at Good News its a whole different story. When things get funky--and they do--Craig and the team will always get to the bottom of the mystery and, importantly, if an attempted part replacement proves unnecessary they always return the part to the vendor--you won't never get charged for an part that turned out to be unnecessary. And unlike many other shops, they are committed to knowing selecting high quality parts for replacement. Many mechanics nowadays get ridiculously cheap parts and yet still charge top dollar. This practice is particularly prevalent at shops that were aggregated in a privately capitalized financial "roll-ups". Watch out for that..it's a scam. In addition to the danger to safety that cheap parts pose, often times the cheapened parts are so poor that they fail or underperform immediately. This will never happen to you at Good News. Don't go for the cheapest shop...go for the best!

And if something goes wrong and the job takes longer than expected? Believe me, there's a reason for it. So if it takes a little linger, or if it costs a little more than you expected...you will never have to question their skill or integrity. On time auto repair is one of the trickiest skills to master, and they are simply the best. I have a thirty five year old Honda that drives and runs like new, and does not burn a drop of oil. Thanks Good News Garage!!
