Truck and travel trailer still a long way from home, and truck goes kaput!
Heading home to north of Seattle, and our truck starts shuddering when under acceleration. We are pulling our travel trailer which complicates the problem. I figured we could easily be stuck for multiple days while repairs are made. My wife did some googling on her phone and came across The Golden Nugget. I gave them a call and Russ said to come on by. So we did. Russ brought out his engine analyzer, and saw that the number 2 cylinder had misfired 214 times in the last several days. Oops! Russ had one of his mechanics look at it, who said it was most likely a failing coil. Russ orders a coil from his in town supplier, the mechanic installs the coil, and we are on our way in less than 1.5 hours! Wow! Russ and the Golden Nugget went above and beyond to save our bacon! And the fix was a steal: about $225. It was worth double that in my book! These are great people! They care! That is a rare commodity in today’s world! Thanks Russ and employees!
