Prompt, reliable, courteous and competent service for Porsche 911
Urgent electrical and power steering pump needs for my 997 Porsche Carrera required my call to Mark at GCR today. Honest, fair pricing and professional.
My 2010 335i had engine light issues. A BMW dealer, {outside of Atlanta area}, diagnosed it and said it was a fuel injector, but I should probably replace all 6 for an estimated cost over $3500! A friend highly recommended GCR to me. It was 100+ miles away but well worth the trip! It turned out the problem was NOT a fuel injector issue, but a pressure pipe. Runs like a top again AND saved $$$$!. Chase called me with cost estimate and approval to proceed, then updated along the way and again when car was finished. Top notch repair, honest and fair priced. Two long time customers who were waiting for their cars said they would only take their cars to GCR, Now I can say the same.

A mechanic that understands a 928 S4!
When I pulled up, the place is beautiful, spotless, and well designed.  Everything you would want if it was your business.  Tim the service manager greeted me immediately and offered to help unload my car as I had it on a trailer.  I dropped it off on a Thursday at lunch time.  Friday I already received an email from Tim that Jerry had made some progress and I would hear back Monday.  Since it was a cold start issue I knew the car had to sit at least overnight....

Monday I got a call that all was fixed.  Previous mechanic had left a cylinder head temp switch plug apart (I may have got that wrong).  The hard shifting (second problem) was caused by a bad vacuum line to the transmission.  The place was quick, clean, honest, and fair.  Good work and technicians do not come cheap.  The facility and staff cost money too. 

I would highly recommend this shop, I just wish it was closer to me.

I cannot say enough good things about Alan Kidson and his team.  They are competent, courteous and accommodating.  Prices are reasonable.  Alan went the extra mile by shepherding long distance vehicle transport.  You could not expect better service.  Keep up the good work!

Appointments for such specialized cars is unusual. In most cases, it is “being it on in, we’ll get to it.”

Follow up, like this “How’d we do” is also unusual for such a car shop

A truly great BMW E28 refresh!
Relied on Michael S., who probably supervised the PDI on this exact 528e 33 years ago at Charles Evans BMW, and of course Alan K. for a comprehensive evaluation diagnostic of known and previously unknown wear and tear and consumables from which to prioritize a cost versus reward plan of attack. Remarkably, the GCR team was able to source decades old like new or new OEM parts for a comprehensive replacement and upgrade of numerous worn F/R suspension components, timing, water pump and cam seal renewal as well as preventative exhaust and fuel system component replacement and so much more. This is of course not done without a price tag attached but one worth every penny! The peace of mind of having German Car Repairs experts renew your daily driver to this level is an undeniably wise investment.

honesty and value
service suggested by the audi dealership is done cheaper than audi quotes and i'm told if i already had something done. i appreciate the fact that they could charge me for something i didn't need (because i don't know any better) and instead choose to tell me. location is great, the building is nice; no unnecessary frills that you end up paying for indirectly. i started going to audi when i bought my car but since i found GCR, this is where i go. i took it back to audi reluctantly because i kept getting emails about a recall but just took their suggestions and went back to GCR anyway. CONS: i wished they were open on the weekends

They Beat the Dealership
GCR is very efficient and cost effective, at least, compared to the dealership. My repair was 25% less than the dealership quoted, was done in one day and when promised.
