When we that didn't complete visited the showroom in March of 2023, we were sold a bill of goods. I was trading in a 2018 Lexus RX and needed assurance that the GV80 was reliable, discussed the concierge service, discussed loaner cars. One month after taking delivery, some 75% of the cameras went out; the electronics stopped working. No, they would not pick the car up, it was my responsibility to get the car to them. It was explained to me as an "OTA" that didn't complete. Total down time 5 days. Fast forward to one year anniversary. I call for an oil change utilizing the paid for concierge service. THEN I'm told it would be 6 to 8 weeks for concierge service but in 2 or 3 weeks, I could drop the car off for an oil change and get a loaner. Two very rude employees argued with me and my need for a loaner SUV , I did get a GV80, FILTHY!!! When I picked up my own car the following day, as soon as I started the car, I noticed a rough idle for maybe 30 seconds. That was on Friday morning. On Sunday, I get an emergency alert from GenesisAmerica about a potentially serious engine problem. I contact Genesis of the North Shore... Of course, it was NOT delivered to me that way! Just happened to occur on their lot after their service tech parked it. Now I need a repair. Keep in mind....this is a plus $70,000.00 automobile with 8,000 miles on the odometer. NO IDEA when a Genesis GV would be available but we can sed a Hyundai Tucson. I'm not going to win an argument with Genesis of the North Shore. It's take it or leave it. Going forward, the procedure is to FIRST lock in a Genesis loaner....6 to 8 weeks, THEN contact the service dept for an appointment for your routine service.
