I purchased a vehicle from Genesis of Kirkland, and based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering buying from this dealership.
On the day I purchased the vehicle, the check engine light came on. I expected the dealership to stand behind the vehicle and make it right. They kept the car for nine days and led me to believe the issue had been repaired. The very next day, the check engine light came back on.
In total, I have had the vehicle in my possession for less than two hours of driving time without the check engine light being on.
Rather than fully resolving the issue, I was told — verbatim — “we don’t want to put any more money into the car.”
That statement says a lot.
In my opinion, Genesis of Kirkland has failed to honor the basic expectations of merchantability, roadworthiness, and the representations made around this sale. I purchased this vehicle expecting a reliable, roadworthy car. Instead, I have spent my time dealing with unresolved mechanical issues, broken expectations, and a dealership that now appears unwilling to stand behind what it sold.
My opinion: buyer beware. If you are considering purchasing a vehicle from Genesis of Kirkland, I would strongly recommend you stop, slow down, and think very carefully before giving them your money.
There are plenty of dealerships that value integrity, customer trust, and doing the right thing after the sale. Based on my experience, Genesis of Kirkland is not one I would recommend.
